General Who else is waiting for Gridlock to update?

No freezing issue here (iP5/6.1). The two tweaks with multiple mentions or repeatable issues so far are Folder Enhancer and Multi Icon Mover--both by ashikase. Folder Enhancer has been randomly tossing out apps from folders on respring since I added it though. That was well before I added Gridlock, so it's hard to say where the problem is.

Again, I can't emphasize this enough--if you encounter a problem with ANY tweak, please send mail via Cydia to the dev. Most of them hate buggy code as much as we do; I saw a release note the other day that only said, "Fixed the world's stupidest bug." :D They can't fix what they don't know about, or don't have enough information on, though. Posting here helps your fellow members (and we appreciate it!), but sending mail helps the JB community as a whole.
 
I have a few apps that I cannot access....camera, pandora and a few others since installing gridlock. They also won't let me move them. I don't have any other folder types tweaks installed.

I guess I will try and reload gridlock later unless anyone has any other suggestions

Weird. Camera moves fine here, both within a folder and on the springboard, and no issues opening it. Definitely worth at least removing/reinstalling Gridlock to see if that goes away.
 
Reinstall, then run iCleaner once. It fixed some issues I had.

i gotta ask...bottom of the screen? i got a few icons too low in the grid, they wound up behind my (transparent) dock, and i could not move them (see my hysterical posts earlier in this thread).

just wondering if you're problem was similar...

Didnt matter. On top or on the bottom, there were at least 5 or 6 apps that wouldnt move or even open. I removed, ran iCleaner, and reinstalled and all seems good since
 
Safe Mode

If anyone installs Gridlock and their device won't exit Safe Mode even after uninstalling Gridlock try uninstalling IconSupport.dylib

It gets installed with Gridlock (if you don't already have it) but not uninstalled when you remove Gridlock.

I've emailed Ashikase.
 
I bought Gridlock 2 for my iPad, but ended up uninstalling it. It's your typical "made by iPhone user" type of tweak that technically works on the iPad, but in practice, not so much.

What I mean by that is that it doesn't have separate layouts for portrait and landscape, which makes it fairly useless IMHO. Sure, you can create the typical square-in-the-middle-of-the-screen setup you see on so many iPhone home screens, but that's about it.

I wanted to have a layout where, in landscape, the icons would be on the left side, Dashboard X widgets on the right. Then, in portrait, the icons would be on the bottom, widgets on the top. That sort of dual layout is perfectly possible with Dashboard X, but not with Gridlock. Furthermore, if you use e.g. Springboard 2 to set different icon layouts in portrait and landscape, that will also screw up things beyond recognition.

I'm sure this is an awesome tweak for iPhone users, but like always, iPad support doesn't equal it working well on the iPad

Screw $5, the cracked 2.0 version seems to be working fine. Oh, yeah, just trying before i buy..... Don't want to hear all the fanatics chastising me for using a cracked app. :)

I have both these tweaks on my ip5 but have not needed to create a new folder since installing them.

After reading your reply I have just attempted to do this and found no issue.

I wonder if another one of your tweaks is not playing nice ?

I just noticed that the problem just randomly stopped. Very strange.

I kinda found the cause:

So i make a new folder. Then as soon as the new folder is made the folder opens automatically and the apps are on the second page of the three dots on the bottom. So when i press the home button on the blank page i get booted into safe mode. If i press the home button on the page with the 2 apps its works great. This only happens sometimes. I not a very good paragraph writer/organizer. Lol

Just repeated these actions about 20 times and I can't get this bug to replicate even once. I've had zero problems since the latest updates for both tweaks came out (Multi Icon Mover also now plays nice with Gridlock again.)

I'm thinking you have something else installed that isn't cooperating with this combo. Any other springboard tweaks?

I have never used cracked versions before, but I'm sick of wasting my money on tweaks that work miserably. I fully believe in supporting devs, and after I test drive them and like them, I will buy the full version but I have probably wasted $30 in the last month on tweaks that don't live up to their billing or cause issues.

ive wasted about 15$ myself, and have gone back to using cracked first. i dont support pirating but i am running into the same ******** with apps
