He also posted an out of focus photograph of the watch face and tried to pass it off as a genuine representation of the screen’s clarity. Either he’s Mr. Magoo and made an innocent mistake or he’s in the business of spreading disinformation.

I suspect the latter as he likely lied about the Hermes band being cheaper than Apple's Modern Buckle.

If you choose the space black Apple Watch you have plenty of choices. There is no need to get another watch unless you want another color watch. There are plenty of bands to match each watch. Apple made it so you could have multiple bands.

Oh please do elaborate on all the other band options for the Space Black that match it, that aren't just another color of the Sport Band, or the leather loop.

So I see this is the only point you can even remotely argue.

So why is a black link band, every color or sport band, and leather loops not good enough? What else are you looking for? On my SS I have a link band, sport band, LL, and classic buckle. I don't understand what you would like to be added. I believe Apple made the lugs available for developers to buy both SS and space black. Should see some more option that way. It sounds like you are just looking for thinks to argue about?

That's like saying, "Name all the members of the Beatles, but don't name any male ones."

The space black watch goes with the Space Black link, plus all the different colors of the Sports bands, plus all the colors of the leather loop, if you have the 42 model. That feels like plenty of choices to me. Granted, if you get the Stainless Steel watch, you have more options, but it's not like you are stuck with a single band choice if you have the Space Black.

No. Your other biased options are worth arguing, which seems to be all you want to do -- oh and prove you are right and anyone who disagrees is wrong. Last communication with you.

Again you've demonstrated a complete misunderstanding of the point. Who cares if you have a SS Watch? Does your classic buckle match the Space Black? No it doesn't. But please since you're so concerned about what's immediately possible, please do show me the links where Apple is making the Space Black lugs available, as well as any vendor that is currently offering them. There is no leather band option for the Space black with a lug that matches. And that's the point. But by all means go on obliviously about what works for you, so nobody else could possibly want anything else.

So I'm done here.

Haha you are a joke. Go back and read the garbage you have been posting. As you can see I am not the only one saying what I am saying. I am not sure what your agenda is.

So because the SS has more options of bands, that means there is something wrong with what Apple is offering? It instantly means you need another watch? I don't understand what your point is. There are at least 3 different kinds bands you can get, and two of the bands have multiple colors. What more options do you need? So because you can get one band, that is a huge issue with the space black AW? Again I am not the only one who believes the Space black AW has plenty of options. You seem to be the one clearly trying to argue something that makes no sense. If the SB only had one band then sure it would be something to be concerned about, but that is not the case.

I really don't think you even know what you are arguing. Switch watches all the want. Who gives a rats a**. Arguing that it's a must if you want to workout or have multiple dress a day is crazy. Honestly you can do whatever you would like, but what I am saying is most people are not buying 2 or 3 Apple watches. It does not make sense for most, and is a task each time you want to switch. Most people can handle switching bands. Most would also argue it's much easier to switch bands than unpair and pair. Please don't give us the bs about Apple adding multiple paired watches to one phone. You have no proof that will happen. Also do you see anyone in this thread arguing your point with you? Nope.

Can we get back to the Hermès, please?

After 3+ weeks, I'm still liking it as much as the first day. This is a really nice band.

It is holding up pretty well. It is slowly developing patina, which over time I expect to give it a richer look.
Yeah I got the much cheaper saddle brown leather Apple band. I am sure it won't age nearly as well, but since I already have an AW I was not about to spend another $1200 on a watch.

THAT is truly beautiful! Thank you! Do you think it'd work for women as well?

I believe so. I went to the Hermes store and they sell matching items for it. I have been thinking about getting the belt. I'm not just a big fan of a big H buckle, but I may yield soon for a more discrete one.

I think for a lady it would be great to wear with a white shirt like the models in Apple's own ads do. It looks very elegant and sporty. That and brown shows and a brown bag and some shades.... model material! :p

Only thing to watch out for is that the cuff only comes with the 42 size. So for people with really tiny wrists, like me, that wouldn't fit. Even with the double or single tour for the 38 watch, I'd need an extra hole punched into the band.

Just got my watch from Hermes San Francisco

I finally headed west and picked mine up last night. Ebay seller was legit. It's nice, I'm enjoying it. I couldn't resist ordering a 38mm stainless with sport band for $400 sealed in box a few days ago to compare my 42mm with it, but wearing the Hermès I don't have any feelings of it being too large.

The 24mm band (which is surprisingly thin and will age quickly and nicely) tapers elegantly to around 21mm under the wrist, and with my aging eyes I'm having no problem convincing myself the 42mm was for me. We'll see if that changes when I receive the 38 and can do a side by side comparison. In my Outback rest room selfie below it looks tiny to me on my 7-7 1/4" wrist. I have 3 holes left on the strap, but with expansion I might need another, making the 38mm strap one hole too small. Maybe.

I'm busy setting it up and marveling at the detail Apple put into the software and UI. I was a fan of the Pebble Steel, but I don't see myself going back. The functionality trumps the always on screen and battery life already. The Hermès face is nice to look at every time.

The Chronograph face with the Hermès complication is shown below. I don't know why the photo album face chose that particular pic, but I'm glad it did.

I really think you are being hung up on a preconceived notion of 38 being the "right" size watch for you. It's a sure bet that the 38 will be too small for you, considering your wrist size, and especially if you have "aging eyes," then the bigger screen is such a big help, you'd want to use the 42 even if it feels a bit large on your wrist (which it won't). I really wish I could wear the 42, because with the 38, I find I have trouble reading text on the watch, even with text size maxed out and bold text turned on. But I have tiny wrists -- need last hole on the 38 bands, and 42 just rolls around on my wrist. :(

Well thanks for reinforcing my thoughts. If I'm hung up, what does that make you? At least I'm hung up on the size of MY watch? :) I write for the forum at large, in the hope of helping others facing the same indecision.

I could just as easily be typing this, and maybe I forgot I wasn't, on the WUS forum, where I've been a member for many years. I'm into watches, and the right size is a big deal. In round watches, I can tell you with certainty that 40mm down to 36mm is just goddamn perfect, but 42mm is too large.

Once again, and I think we discussed this before, I'm talking about my personal, subjective preferences. If you don't share them, that's cool, but I'm talking about my new watch, on me. Hope you enjoyed the pics. Where do you suppose she lives?

The text size is the same between the 38 & 42. Apple compromises the text wrap to ensure you'll be able to read the 38 as well as the 42. Only graphics like photos will be smaller on the 38 than the 42.

NOT everyone who posts in this thread is male. I think some of the posters might find the last picture on your previous post offensive. Please, please kindly remove it.

10-4 on the text size. It will come down to looks on my wrist. I know I'm not alone in that regard.

Headed to Seattle and feelin' like a badass trucker, with a sensitive side. Hell I like the French!

After all the help you gave me I'm sorry you're this easily offended. My female friends like the pic. She's French.

I suppose I AM a bit hung up on the watch size, because I wish I could wear the 42, but I can't. I see other posters saying the text size is the same on the 38 and the 42, but I swear the 42 was easier for me to read! Maybe the maximum text size on the 42 is bigger than on the 38?

But again, when you say the 42 is too large, you are talking about round watches, right? I just don't see how that translates to rectangular watches, is all.

Anyway, glad you are enjoying the watch.

Just because you have female friends who likes that pic, doesn't follow that all women feel comfortable with it.
