it's a problem my iphone is in a black case so I see only the white face and the ring around the home switch is hard to see if it silver or a fade gold
originally placed the online order with apple on the 21st for the gold, and it sat.
frustrating that they dont distribute the phones on a first come first served basis.
when they went live for instore pickup, I cancelled my online order and picked up a gold 64gb online. Had it in my hands on the 2nd from the online order system. had I not done that I would still be waiting... 2 and a half weeks after I ordered! with no end in sight as they are still trying to ship out orders that were placed on the 20th!

I originally settled for the 32 gb space grey really wanting the gold. I looked on craigslist two days ago and some guy was saying how he hated the gold and wanted to trade straight up for a space grey. I jumped on it and gained 32gb for free. His loss was my gain. I love the gold its awesome.

Apple Store Baybrook Mall in Texas. My Hubby saw that there is one avail at that location. I called it was only 5 left by the time I got mine. They sold their last one to this other guy. This gold was hard to track down since not many stores has them in stock. However if you check the apple site for availability- you might get lucky especially at local apple stores.
