I am. Ordered in August and have 0 issues. No IR/Ghosting/Lag/etc.

Love it, spent too much, but love it and have 0 regrets.

+1

Wish it had been a little cheaper (although I did save $200 with the student discount), but I have nothing but positive things to say about it.

I love mine. I've had it about 6 weeks so far. It's beast.

I have the 256GB 2.6 GHZ, 16GB ram model. Today I tried testing it a bit.

I ran all of these applications at the same time :

Chrome with 10 tabs
Safari
Firefox
Skype
XCode - 3 project windows
iOS Simulator - iPad
VLC
iTunes
Spotify
iMessage
TextWrangler
Photoshop

Parallels with Windows 7
On Windows:
Eclipse
Visual Studio
Chrome
IE
Firefox

It barely slowed at all. Memory utilization was at the full 16GB but I was able to seamlessly switch between applications, as well as Windows/OSX.

I also have a 2.6 16GB 256 SSD rMBP. It has a LG screen. It has at least two dead pixels. I cannot see them at normal viewing distance. I have no problems with image retention.

Most of the time, the computer is docked to identical home and office setups of two 30" monitors and a portrait 20", unreal connectivity for the laptop. When using the computer on the go, I cannot believe 1-how often I switch resolutions now that I can without it looking awful, and 2-how much I love the retina screen, even though I spend most of my time working in statistics programs and word processors.

I am perfectly happy with my computer, it is a great ~6lb (computer, power supply, case) productivity package, and I am glad I upgraded.

Well I returned my retina MacBook Pro. Sad.

I made an appointment and went up to the Genius Bar. The store I go to is so busy now they've commandeered the table in front of the genius bar for genius bar appointments, which is where they put me. On the table is a regular 15-inch MacBook Pro. So the genius comes over, asks me what the issue is. I take out my retina MacBook Pro and put it next to the one on the table. I think he was telegraphing exactly what I was going to say as I was about to say it...only because it's so obvious.

I told him I loved the computer and loved the clarity of the retina screen but I wanted them to calibrate the screen for me. He said the white balance does look way off but tried to explain it away to the new process of bonding the LCD to the glass, etc. I showed him the calibrations I did with the built-in ColorSync utility and we both agreed they didn't look that great. So he said hold on, I'm going to ask out back.

About 10 minutes later he came back and tells me that they don't have the tools to calibrate the screen but I can buy third party calibration tools to calibrate it. He said there are others out there that are complaining about this problem but it's not an official Apple problem yet so there's nothing he could do for me. I told him I've read about them online and haven't heard anything about the 13-inch retina. He said don't be so sure about that.

I said my problem with this is that I'm aware of the third party calibration tools. I ordered one through my job and it hasn't arrived yet. We can use it at my job (we should have one), but I wasn't about to spend $250+ of my own money on calibration tools that I haven't needed with any Mac I've bought before. And since I'm on the last day of the 14 day return policy what happens when I get this calibration tool at work in a week or two and it still looks off (or won't calibrate)? Since it's not an official Apple issue I'd up the creek without a paddle. So I returned it and I'm now back on my old MacBook Pro (for now).

My old MacBook Pro (left) compared to the new retina I just returned on the right.
