Have you ever dropped your iPhone?

No matter how careful or aware I am, I always seem to find a way to drop my phone. This is why, having a case on my new 4s is not an option, it's a MUST!

Dropped it with a speck candyshell case. I couldnt use the case anymore but the phone was still like new :)

So it looks like there is an almost 7/10 chance you will drop your iPhone. And this is coming from the most diverse focus group on the planet (MacRumors members who are all from different countries, races, ages, and sex).

Dropped, slung, fumbled my iPhones many times...

Not one scratch/dent/ding, though, using Pixelskin HD.

Where's the "I'm afraid to answer for fear of jinxing myself" option?

I've dropped mine a handful of times, but only on carpet so far (knock wood knock wood knock wood) and never from a significant height. I'm tall for a chick, so pretty much any time I'm standing, it's a significant height.

Not only have I dropped my iPhone but I have put it in a coat and forget about it only to come back half an hour later hearing it smash about in a commercial dryer for 20MINUTES! Took it out the bumper melted off the phone but the only thing wrong with the phone was a few light scratches on the antenna and the too hot message on the screen. Cut it off waited 30 minutes and voila worked perfect. I was even able to sell the phone as mint condition a few months later.

Now my friend wasn't so lucky. He was doing seated shoulder presses with 225lbs and his phone in his back pocket and bam his front screen was shattered!

Had every version of the iPhone and dropped them frequently (once a month). Had incase cases on all of my old phones and just a bumper on my 4.

Never had a screen crack or any noticeable damage.

Same here. No epic falls just a couple feet onto hardwood usually. Once on concrete. Big cringe. The case did it's job tho.

iPhone 3G, Two Nokia, and four or five Motorola phones going back to the big Piper in the mid-late '90s, plus three or four Palms back the the original Pilot, and I've never dropped one of them. The last Nokia did go through the washing machine, though...

I've dropped it twice from waist height. Both times on to hard floors (one of them cement!). And neither time did anything happen to the phone thanks to my Incipio case.

Actually, I can say that I've never dropped my current iPhone because I had my first one replaced from water damage.

I've dropped both my former 3Gs and my current iPhone 4. Neither have ever had any damage from the fall. Used an InCase slider on the 3Gs and numerous different cases on the 4. Currently using a Cygnett bumper (which fits better and is a little more substantial, though not as thin, as the Apple bumper). I'll move the Cygnett bumper to my 4S when it arrives.

Yep, once onto my living room laminate floor, and at least once (I think twice) onto the concrete. The back is a little scratched up but the screen is still great, and works 100%.

3G -> dropped a few times. Worse when dropped on concrete and landed on the plastic side and scuffed it up. Used a case ever since.

4-> a few times but nothing serious. Have been using a case or bumper since day one.

The other day while standing in line outside with my wife, some guy in the group behind us drops his iphone 4 (naked/possibly skinned) flat on it's face on the sidewalk. Everyone around made a noise as if they just saw someone got hurt. The phone turned ok though. Ha.

I've dropped my phone many many times :) I finally broke the back last month... $35 and I was back in business..

I never drop my phones until last week. I was in the bathroom and some girl called me, excited I tried to pickup and it slipped, hit the toilet seat and it fell to the floor. Lucky me it didn't fall inside..

I have some little plastic see thru case. I'm surprised it hold up.

i4.

Friend of mine dropped his Windows Phone off a party deck at a baseball stadium. Thing fell 40+ feet onto concrete and just shattered all over the ground. Everyone immediately looked away like they didn't want to see how mad he was about to get.

I've done it on numerous occasions. Once when it was raining and there was standing water where I dropped it -___- I couldn't hear people talking but they could hear me. Later that day it started working fine again and has been fine ever since.

I dropped my Original iPhone
I dropped my iPhone 3G
I dropped my iPhone 3GS
I dropped my iPhone 4

Thankfully no harm was done any single time :D

Ah, and I'm always case free! I know, I know, I'm living a wild life

I almost didn't. I only dropped it ONCE.

It was a freak accident. It just went flying out of my pocket.
