I have a mere 980 songs, but its always growing. Thats big for some one who is 17. I can attest that my uncle has a whopping 11,000 songs!!!!!!! He has a whole room of CDs and records that we put into itunes one weekend.

im 19 and i have 6400....

LOL to Frank.

I'm 35 and have been seriously collecting since I was fifteen. My wife knew about my habit when we married, and puts up with it, though it means we haven't done a cruise and New Orleans was destroyed before we could get there. I'm not rich, but I do alright, and it's amazing what you can do with single-minded determination! All of your points are valid, for sure. Anyway, this is an off-topic post, but I got a kick out of your reply :D

I doubt this is the biggest library, but it's gotta be up there:

18,346 Items
160.01 gigs
62.8 Days

of this...

404 Items
7.8 Days
64.25 gigs

...are videos for my iPod

None stolen thanks to the iTunes store. I used to be a Napster guy, but once I was given a reasonably priced and easy download option where I could buy by song, I deleted my old files.

Here's a kicker....

13,491 songs bought from iTunes

I have always felt it is better to just buy the actual cd, then one day if you want to sell it you can. With downloading you have nothing physical. If it were alot cheaper I might would do it.

thanks :)
my wife used to run a record label and dj on student radio so we're as bad as each other.
64,848 now
Really enjoying rediscovering my old stacks of vinyl as i rip them - BH Surfers, RevCo, Cabaret Voltaire, Gary Numan, even UB40 (they were actually really good, once apon a time) and a bunch of long deleted NZ stuff. ah the memories.

 Hopefully you didn't buy each song individually...

And, uh... I have a measly 2,500 songs or so. I'm not sure on the exact number since I'm away from my computer at the moment.

Did you win one of those insane prizes when iTMS reached 10,000,000 or 100,000,000 downloads? Or do you just love music? :D

Oh and 1568 tracks for 4.5 days and 6.64 Gigs. Used to have more but have been going 100% legit.

the real question is who has the largest libary that is 100% legit. aka. you either bought all the music on CD or you bought them from like the iTMS. No downloading of P2P or getting copies of stuff from friends. It is all 100% legitly yours

all legit thanks (well, maybe strictly speaking not those iTMS Australia ones ;) iTMS NZ, PLEASE!) - not a pirate, just deranged.

who has the biggest itunes library on macrumours?

I have been told I have an insane music library. This is true, but music is important to me. I have 26,902 songs 73.5 days 95.92 gigs with no end in sight. It is all AAC obviously. I will need to put a second hard drive in here soon. I have a power mac G5 dual 1.8 Ghz. I will soon also have a macbook pro. I have a measly 512 shuffle but it is not outdated yet!!!!!!kansasken
