Getting There !

Hello all this is my first post. I am currently recording all my vinyl with cd spin doctor ,having completed tapes and cd's. It seems an endless journey at the moment my library stands at 9900 songs 31.3 days and 424.96 GB.My entire library is from bought originals in aiff (cd quality) format.I think i may have been beaten at the moment but i am aiming for 1TB on completion !

29539 tracks, 129 days. I'll have to check my machine at work, it's way higher than that (although nowhere close to 140K).

140,000 Songs, over 472 days, and 1.3 terabyte. Thas is just on my Music Server which is in the process of being redone, so its about 1/2 of what I really have as I am still importing music back into iTunes from my total of 3 terabytes of music I do own. (All Legal)

On my MBP i have 10,957 songs, 42.3 days and 83.92 GB of music.

:D

140,000 songs would be great if it were lossless. If you listen to that much music, even if there is very little that is classical or otherwise tonally rich, 100 songs per GB is not all that for your ears. Still, 140,000 is amazing and you'd never be able to fit that all on your MBP or iPod if it were in Lossless, so I guess a compromise is in order. Me, I'd rather hear more of the music than have several thousand tracks that take forever to paw through and sound too compressed. But whoa! You could host a year-long party with that library!

4638 songs 13.5 days 18.23GB

I currently have 1,899 albums and 21,375 songs. I only have complete albums, the vast majority of which are encoded at 224 kbps AAC. This brings my total size to a little over 130 GB. I download three to five albums every day from BitTorrent, so the numbers keep rising...

This is what happens when you have too much time on your hands.

13597 Tracks
38.7 Days
293.09 GB
1119 Albums

I started with iTunes 4 as MP3, switched to AAC, and now I am reripping all the original CDs as Apple Lossless. I was almost finished when I ran out of space. I am waiting for the price of larger drives to drop in order to continue reripping/expanding. Those new parallel recording Seagate 750's sound about right.

Library :: 14,098 items, 45.9 days, 88.96 GB

Podcasts :: 160 items, 3.4 days, 7.71 GB

I recently gutted my Podcasts section as I was keeping everything but my hard drive filled up so now I just have last 10 episodes of stuff.

40976 tunes
208.4 days
225.47 GB

....And always looking for more.
Some people are just so greedy.......
