0 songs 0.0 days of listening 0GBs :)

Alright, so I scrapped my iTunes to make room for an HD movie I'm editing, but I have some 97GB of music on a LaCie BigDisk (some 15,000 tracks). I just transfer what I want to listen to on my 60GB iPod.

I thought it was customary for boys to compare the size of things... :D

If that's the case, I should have half of a song. :( :p

I've got 2577 songs, 8.6 days, 16.66 GB in my library, and 214 podcasts, being 3.6 days and 5.8 GB.

That being said, I think 80 GB and even the prospect of 100 or even 120 GB iPods to be rather ridiculous. Granted if you load a ton of movies on, it might be worth it, but I wouldn't want to watch any videos with the iPod, unless I used the iPod AV cable.

6,196 songs, 17.2 days, 31.64 GB. Want to go lossless as soon as I can get a iPod big enough to hold them.

18,125 songs 103.73GB. Mostly encoded as Mp3 (the ones I ripped from my cds's) and then the itunes store format for the rest. I didn't include my personal music that I work on because it's mostly chopped into samples and clips and would just pad the number.

I still have a fair bit of ripping to do, I find it a bit tedious so I just do a few albums here and there...and then I have the records to get through *shudder* now that is a pain to rip / separate...unless someone knows an easier way? I just play it through the line in and then manually stop after each track.

As far as listening to them all goes, I like(d) them all at one time or another for some odd reason...I like everything from classical, opera, new age, hip hop, r&b, rock, alternative, metal, then a mix of foreign stuff...

Oh and to whomever said that the prospective 120gb ipod is ridiculous...That would be the only way I could fit my current stuff on to an ipod :D Right now I just use a shuffle for going to the gym. But if they came out with a 120GB ipod that would be terrific, then I would have an easier way to backup my collection !

I have a measly 0. Thats cause my PC:mad: crashed and I was not smart enough to make a media partition or use a BACKUP! Before the crash I had roughly 10k. Even then I had not put my complete library of music on there. MY goal is to have 20K by New Years! Wish me luck!

Sounds like you'll have a lot of re-ripping to do

I am interested to see how big some of your libraries are in iTunes, anyone beet 100GB? thats 50x my library (5.89GB)

Well, its all in how you define "biggest".

I've printed out the binary of one song on old 80 column IBM Punch Cards....its 6 boxes and weighs around 30lbs :D :D :D

Re-Ripping To Lossless

I'm slowly re-ripping all my CDs to lossless. Some of them are beginning to show their age.

7314 ( of which 3698 are ALAC ), 128GB.
