My 4S has been naked since day 1. I have a carry pouch I used to slip it into, but I don't even bother with that lately!

Today I did buy myself an OtterBox Impact Series case because next week I'm attending a music gig (standing) and the naked phone really does slip around my pocket at times and would HATE for it to slip out during the madness of a gig!

My iPhone 4S is not naked. I have an Otterbox Defender. I'm a klutz, so I'm not going to take the chance and damage my 4S. I also want to be able to sell it in pristine condition (in case I end up getting the new iPhone, or an Android phone, this fall).

My iPhone 4 has been naked for months. Then... last weekend while I was carrying something, it fell to its death (got flung while trying to save it). Needless to say it was smashed beyond recognition and had to be replaced for $150.

You can guess who put the bumper back on their phone!! ;D

Mine is naked in the sense of not having a bumper/case on, but iPhone has a "full body" wrap though. Best Skins Ever on sides/back and I think it's at&t brand on the front screen. As of now, I haven't dropped it.

I've always had a case on mine however for the past 2 months, I've been using it naked.

I've figured that as the next iPhone is only around the corner, I may as well just go naked with iPhone 4 and not be too worried if it gets knocked about!

My 4S has been completely naked for the past 2 months. Glass feels better than plastic, rubber, leather, etc. #

I just got my white iPhone 4 2 weeks ago,& it goes in a back-only case when I'm going somewhere. When I'm around the house I leave it naked,1). Because I hate the case,(it's red I hate red),& 2). Because I bought the WHITE iPhone was because it looked different,it makes no sense to cover it up

Naked. Used to be in excellent condition until I dropped a few days ago. The back glass is a little scratched and of the corners is chipped off. The steel bezel is a little damaged too, but nothing major really. I stopped caring about my phone being in perfect condition a while back, especially the back.

...hah. The times I've gone out since getting my 4S, I've only gotten more paranoid about my the phone the more I've been drinking.

Same. Although I find that I am a terrible texter sober, but when I get drunk, I over-compensate and become near perfect and am also much nicer to my phone... go figure.

Mine is naked as of right now, only because I just bought my iphone 4 last week. I'm getting a case sometime this week though.

Naked except periodically when in the garage wrenching on my cars or in the gym working out, I'll use a speck case that can survive almost any drop.

But I did spend a couple hundred on cases on the first iphone.

...oh yah and $200 or so on a Louis Vuitton case on the 3G/3GS.

But not it's naked because I don't like the added weight and like the slick naked screen and slim factor in my front right pocket.

I am currently using the iPhone naked. This is after SEVERAL different cases. I cannot find one that I love.

If the iPhone was curved like it used to be then I wouldn't need a case. The hard, jagged edges make it so uncomfortable to hold.

Been using mine since I got it when it was released (4). Love the look of it naked... now if only... nvm

Would a bumper REALLY have saved you from that though?

Bumpers are surprisingly effective. I saw a YouTube vid showing the iPhone surviving drop tests w/ bumper from up to 10 feet. No damage to the phone, just to the bumper. I own 3 Apple Bumpers and switch them around to match whatever theme I may be rocking lol. Black, white, and orange - all look great, though I fear the white will get dirty soon.

My 4S has been nude since Day 1. The steel acts as a great device to wake me up from my sleep. Just brush your arm across the cold steely antenna and bam, you're up.

few months

I had my iPhone 4 in a case from day 1. After a year, I noticed I never dropped it before since I'm so careful. I stopped putting on cases and went naked for the next year. Until last week when my friend tried to take my phone I dropped it and it got a scuff mark on the edge and cracked the back. At that point my home button was kind of iffy on working, power button was stuck and the mic wouldn't work while on speakerphone. So the cracked glass finally pushed me to get it replaced by apple for the $150. I ordered a new case. Lesson learned.
