Necessity dictates bigger, since I’m currently sporting a 13 mini.I've seen a lot of people lately with the 16e, 16, 16pro (and even 16+) and not so many 16PM and wondering why? I though bigger was the way to go? Who has done smaller and why?

I have read that a lot of people don't like how heavy the Pro Max is and I can totally understand that.I've seen a lot of people lately with the 16e, 16, 16pro (and even 16+) and not so many 16PM and wondering why? I though bigger was the way to go? Who has done smaller and why?
I’m holding on to my 13 mini. Battery replacement is cheap.I've seen a lot of people lately with the 16e, 16, 16pro (and even 16+) and not so many 16PM and wondering why? I though bigger was the way to go? Who has done smaller and why?
Which compatibility issues are these?I recently heard that the mini phones have the same (screen/UI) compatibility issues as the old SE had, which is sad because I would really have liked to have one. My 15 Pro is nice but too big, give me an SE 1 or 2 with full screen, please!
Yes exactly. I'm about to replace the battery in my 13 mini.I’m holding on to my 13 mini. Battery replacement is cheap.
UI elements too close to the bezels, apps not being optimized, custom larger text sizes being a nightmare, basically.Which compatibility issues are these?
I find that interesting, because personally I assume people who use their phone more and for more want or feel the need to get a bigger one, while people who don’t use their phone very often might prefer a small one that does what it needs to do and then not be in their way. You seem to be the opposite.Well, I'd prefer an iPhone that is somewhere between the size of the Pro Max and the iPad Mini. Unfortunately, Apple does not consult me for the size of their iDevices.
I prefer large. Typically whatever model has the largest size I will get. I work from home, or in an office where I can set my phone down. My job involves computers with connected keyboards, mice and large monitors. My own preference at home is for large TVs, desktop Macs and lots of large monitors. So my devices are not used as substitute computers, media devices, game consoles or anything else you can typically use a computer for.
I use my phone primarily when out. Which isn't a lot. Calls, texts, light email and light web browsing. Consequently, I want a large device. My life does not exist on my devices, it exists on my computers. Why reach for my device when my hands are already on a keyboard?
So, no. No small devices for me.
Click the link in my signature that says 'Eight Displays' and you might get a sense of where my preferences lie. But to explain more, I think it probably comes down to immersion. I wish to be immersed in the thing I am involved in. And I like filling my space. Lots of people like minimalism. That isn't me.I find that interesting, because personally I assume people who use their phone more and for more want or feel the need to get a bigger one, while people who don’t use their phone very often might prefer a small one that does what it needs to do and then not be in their way. Yeah, I guess I could kind of see this especially if you’re working on work items or documents..Click the link in my signature that says 'Eight Displays' and you might get a sense of where my preferences lie. The argument could also be made that VR would give me what I seek, but then I'm just not interested in having something attached to my head. I already wear glasses and that's enough.
It's hard to be immersed with small screens.
I'm a graphic designer. I work in either QuarkXPress every day, or InDesign (personal). Then there's the rest - Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, font manager, etc.Yeah, I guess I could kind of see this especially if you’re working on work items or documents..
In the past I always wanted smaller but with iPhone Pro level features. Then a couple of eye surgeries forced me to the iPhone Pro Max size and I adapted very quickly to the larger size. However I adamantly wish Apple would stop making the phones a little bit bigger every year. I have XL hands so I can hold any size of phone, but my pants pockets have not been getting any bigger and the iP16 PM fills a front pants pocket enough to make it hard to remove.I've seen a lot of people lately with the 16e, 16, 16pro (and even 16+) and not so many 16PM and wondering why?
