I used to babysit the drummer for Blind Melon. His parents are my godparents.

That reminds me, when I was 6-8 years old I used to play with Mike Wengren, drummer for the band Disturbed. He lived in the same neighborhood as I and we both went to the same park.

It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned of his success. A coworker used to work with his mom at another firm and he mentioned the last name during the course of converstion. I think Mike's older brother Todd was briefly with the band in the very beginning.

lol... the most famous person I met is maritime historian John Maxtone-Graham. He's written many books on ships like cunard's Queen Mary 2.

....and if you don't recognize him, his son is Ian Maxtone-Graham. He writes for The Simpsons. :p

One of our former owners brought some guests for a plant tour several years back. Among them was some guy named Judge Reinhold, who played Billy Rosewood in the Beverly Hills cop movies. Really, really nice guy.

When I was a DJ for Hopkins, I went backstage and met Mike Oldfield, which is basically the highlight of my celebrity life.

Have also met Robert Fripp, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, Richard Sinclair, Pierre Moerlen, the guys in Ozric Tentacles, and Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree. The Ozrics were, not surprisingly, incredibly stoned, yet put on a most amazing set.

I met britney spears in a little market in hawaii a few years ago.It was pretty funny to watch some crazy teens following her around and a few photograhpers trying to capture a bad pic of her for the tabloids.

I met the Manchester City first team last night. They gatecrashed our party :)
I hoped you plied them with lots of drink to hamper their performance today. If so, it worked - Blackburn have just beaten them 4-2.

All you need to do now is grass them up to Stuart Pearce, and your work is done. :D

He was in there too!! They weren't drinking, but I don't think our loud music until 1:30am would have helped them with their pre-match sleep :D

People, hhmmm, Marc Warren and Jamie Murray who are in the amazing TV series "Hustle". Mark Hughes, Roberto Di-Matteo and Zola

Fantastic! I hope you managed to persuade one or two of their stars to sign for County... ;)

I look forward to seeing the pictures in next week's News of the World. :p

I don't think we need them. We played a blinder yesterday and beat Wrexham 5 - 2. Little Alfie Le Fondre scored 4!! :)

We might have a chance of signing Ben Thatcher though :D

Hmmm...

Well my uncle is Lawrence Gowan, who's done stuff with quite a few people and is the lead singer/keyboards player of Styx. He stayed at our house over a weekend which was cool. Havn't seen him in quite a while though...

He is also good friends with Paul McCarteny, so hopefully I'll be able to meet up with him at some point.

I've also met Stevie Winwood and looked around his studio...

Did he sing? ;)
Actually, he did. :D

It was at the time he was appearing on Fantasy Football League, and he was there doing a personal appearance - he sang Back Home and You'll Never Walk Alone. I managed to have a bit of a chinwag with him and, like I say, he seemed a really nice bloke.

For worldwide fame, probably George Lucas. Litterally nearly walked straight into this guy at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, and thought, blimey, he looks like George Lucas. Looking at the program notes later, I spotted he was a judge at the event, so it was him!

He looked really scruffy and didn't really stand out expcept for his beard!

I used to work in the busiest and largest petrol station in the UK, and being the first stop after (and before) London on the motorway, we had many famous (and some semi-famous) people filling up their cars. Amongst others, I used to serve:

Jeremy Clarkson
Richard Hammond
Craig David
Derren Brown
Jools Holland
Steven Gerrard
Orson (the band)

It was always good to talk to them and find out what they were up to. Most of them were very 'shy' and trying to keep a low profile, so I always respected this and didn't make a big thing about it :)

When my parents were vacationing in mexico like 15 years ago they were at a fancy restaurant and saw michael jackson. My mom, of course, runs right through his body guards and wants his autograph. The only thing she could find for him to write on was a 3x5 picture of my sister. So michael autographed his name on the back of the picture of my sister (in the picture she was about 5... MJ + 5 year old girl....scary....nvm, he only likes little boys)

In my friends home office there is a picture of his dad shaking hands with G. Bush senior.

I myself haven't met anyone famous that i can think of.
