If they announced the iPhone 6 5.5" alongside the 4.7" and it's delay is less than a month, I'll probably upgrade to that bad boy assuming that it has more than just a larger screen.

I will probably find it frustrating, the two sizes. It could even make me wait. It has always been simple to buy the best phone Apple offers, now it will be confusion.

I simply do not know how I would carry the 5.5 inch model. At the same time, I hate to think I'm buying the lesser phone.

Not sure how this strategy will work out.

I've had a note 3 and it fits in my jeans back pocket fine ,I always have my phone in my back pocket an always take out when sitting down,so it's no bother a fone that size.

I find the 'how will it fit my clothes' queries a tad strange...then again ,I'm from Scotland, so all year round we always have jeans on an a jacket/zipper/hoodie of some sort on.So it's no bother at all for me to carry around a fone that size.

More than just a larger screen? Im pretty sure thats the biggest improvement since Siri or iCloud.

Its a larger screen.

Well technically the 4.7 definitely is the "lesser" phone considering it literally has less screen real estate.

I tested out a 4.7 inch case and I *think* that I've decided that I don't want a phone that is bigger than that. I think.

same here! 5.5 is interesting, especially if they have a 128 gb option because then I can just use that instead of iphone/ipad

What I meant was software that accommodates the larger screen (which they did include), better camera (yup), superior battery life (this was my main calling). Just because a phone has a larger screen doesn't always make it better or worth it.

Probably going to get the 4.7". I do like the bigger screen, but once you put a case on it then it becomes pretty large. I've held the note 3 and it is large. Not sure I would want that size for my daily driver.

Not me, the 5.5 is stupid large to me. Great for people who want a big phone like that but it's just too big for me.

I always order the minute they are released usually online but don't think I'll be doing that this time. I want to see just how BIG the 5.5" feels in my hand.

I wonder if by doing this it'll bite me in the butt and I'll be backed up weeks and weeks trying to buy one, hopefully not.

ok...?

After seeing this, I'm leaning toward iPhone 6. That was my first choice, but was swayed a little with the Plus. I'm about 80% sure I'll stick with iPhone 6.

God, that's huge. OIS and better battery life are swinging me over to the Plus but looking at that pic, it doesn't seem I'll be able to even hold it with one hand much less operate it. Hmm, gonna have to convince my brother to go camp out at the Apple Store to try them out...

I'm leaning heavily towards the 4.7" model, but I will want to see them in person before I make a final choice. And of course the BlackBerry Passport is coming to Verizon probably in mid-November. Decisions, decisions...

Me.

I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 and got it on launch day.

This time around, I have to wait and see. The Plus has all the features I want, better battery, better screen and that landscape functionality - I just don't want a phone that big!!

I'll have a look in store, and if it feels too big, I'll consider the 4.7". If that doesn't feel like a justified ($1200 AUD) upgrade from the 5, then I'll hold out.

I've never had to pre-order. Walked into the apple store on launch day in the afternoon and they still had plenty of 5. Will do the same this year. There wasn't even a line the last time.

I honestly wish they would at least have display models available immediately so you could play with them prior to per ordering. Because buying an iPhone involves carrier contracts and eligibility for subsidization, exchanging them isn't as simple as everything else.

You can do that and you have 14 days to return it to Apple if you find out that you don't like the size.
I'll go to an AS as soon as they are out and hold the phone in my hand, then I'll make my decision. Of course I'll miss day one, but I don't care I want to be sure I pick up the right model

Yeah, i ordered the iPhone 5 in black on launch day and didn't like it and my OCD went into overdrive because of the whole "scuff-gate" and returned it to apple and got the white one instead a few days later.

But no, 5.5" is gonna be too big imo, i'm set for the 4.7"

Lucky! Depends where you live, i'm in Cambridge UK and people queue for days and they're sold out for weeks and weeks.

Oh the struggles.

Yes, that does look stupidly big. 4.7" all the way.
