Given the magnitude of this string, my May 13 to May 28 delivery window is probably a lot closer the the 28th than the 13th...:(

Not necessarily. Now that Apple knows what people actually want they can ramp up. A lot of the most recent serial numbers were manufactured just prior to launch. Apple has always worked fast to reduce the backlog as quickly as they could.

I'm in the same window as you at 0:10:39 but I'm starting to feel optimistic that mine will be shipped in the early part of the window and possibly in the gap between May 8 and 13.

I haven't seen anyone mention their window in the gap.

I didn't get my order in for almost two hours after pre-orders went live. If we're still trying to get through the first four minutes I'm afraid Apple isn't going to get to my order until the very end of my 4-6 week window....if I'm lucky. Right now I wouldn't be surprised that my order slips well into June. I don't know what Apple is doing but I was certainly hoping to hear that they could make it through the first four minutes of orders a little bit quicker than this. Frustrating.

I have a feeling this is more of a log jam type situation. Once the log jam clears these will begin shipping in mass quantity.

Well, no movement here. I was initially charged on Thursday morning last week but that was just an auth charge that disappeared on Saturday. No new charge yet. :\

42 SS BSB - 3:03:25 am EDT confirmation on 4/10 - Georgia - Processing - Received EOD - No UPS tracking

Given that ups has 230 plus planes and charters an additional 290 or so you can't rely solely on tracking ups airlines flights. Some charters will invariably carry alternate flight numbers but follow similar routings.

Also, my guess is these watches are being prepped for final destinations in China. When they land here and are received by ups North America my guess is those files upload into relevant systems and trigger the "shipping" movement on apples part. Why do it this way? Mainly you only have to box the thing once. Less handling. But you withhold the tracking information until the device truly hits UPS' operations here in the states.

I recall previously we could track our package from China to the states. Seems they have reworked this business process a bit.

Wow. I'm 4/10 3:27AM on the East Coast of the USA. Maybe there's hope sooner than I thought! I assume you are USA East Coast as well...

He's 3 minutes after midnight. Not 3 hours and 27 minutes after midnight. Sadly you've got quite a while to wait...

Ups world port is in Louisville most packages are sorted there or in Ontario California. Memphis TN is A major Fedex hub. The way I've observed is packages go to a Shipped state when the manifest is scanned in Anchorage AK, which is already halfway to its destination.

Sorry my boo boo. Wonder if they handle the Watches that are going to be ultimately delivered by FedEx also.

Just saw this, apparently the stainless scratches easily, but it's also easily fixed!!

Guess I'll be doing this every so often, once my watch arrives that is :(

I had my card charged on Friday night and then got an alert from the Apple Store app on Saturday morning that said my order had shipped and would be delivered on Monday. However, the UPS tracking information still shows only "a label has been created", no scans or delivery date. Seems iffy to me for Monday. Is this normal?

Kind of surprising for the reasons stated, but I used to have to do the same on the original iPhone bezel. So I guess I now have another use for it.

You must have money to burn. More cents than sense. I want my watch but not so badly that Im willing to pay more for one purchased on eBay. No way for me, sir. I'll patiently wait until 5/8 and continue to deal with Apple.

And almost every watch on eBay has a May or later delivery date.

Saw it as well. Once he explained how soft the metal is and how to take care if the micro-scratches it's no problem. The important task is to not take a chunk out it.

Looks like all of the UPS planes have landed at least half an hour ago... Anyone seeing charges?

There don't appear to be any flights in the air or scheduled, not looking too good for any updates soon.

Also, as we have really only been seeing flights between Anchorage and Louisville, and none to Anchorage from China, I find it unlikely that the recent flights had many watches on them.

I must admit, this concerns me quite a bit. I'm very particular about fingerprints and scratches, but people complaining about scratches two days after launch day? What are they going to look like in 6 months? Or a year? I'm hoping these people who have scratches are just more rough with their gadgets; I really don't want to have to polish my watch every week.

Well, the flights don't go from China to Louisville; they go to Anchorage first. I haven't seen anyone saying anything has been charged since Friday, so I'm thinking we might be out of luck until Monday.

I meant China to Anchorage, I haven't seen any of those.

Last night when I looked there was one en route to Anchorage that flew out of Hong Kong. The other 7 flights en route to Louisville didn't say where they started out at, so I'm not sure. I'm hoping that some of these flights over the weekend have watches and that maybe once UPS starts scanning after midnight tonight we will see something. I could be wrong, but again, I'm hoping.

Ahhh, but Burberry didn't want you to have "that " retail experience. Instead she believes you should have a personal Watch fitting like her old stores. Then you could stay up until the wee hours of the morning to make your 10-15 minute purchase online so you could get your new Watch at home accompanied by the harried UPS signature instead of the clapping hands of the terrific Apple Retail Employees. This is the 21st Century and you shouldn't have to leave the convenience of your home for a delivery, even if it takes 12+ hours to arrive, and only if you ordered in the first 2 minutes. Post 2 minutes and you are out luck for launch day.

This x1000. Well said.

What was your order time?
