Right but don't they sometimes ship the AppleCare enrollment items ahead of time? I remember once getting shipping notification ahead of the product tied to it.

Looks like AppleCare is finally just electronic, no more little book of terms & conditions to ship.

Anyone considering ordering a 42 SS with a different band just to see if that order will get processed sooner?

I want to get in on this Apple Watch thing and don't really want to wait until June.

I've ordered a 42mm SS WSB and an additional black band. I'm in Australia so it won't have started processing until tomorrow (monday)

I can't wait to see how this works for you. If the band ships first, I'm going to kick a cat. Just kidding, of course.

Nothing New... Charged 4AM Saturday... Still Processing

Nothing new for me as well... I'm thinking it may have something to do with how close you maybe to a DC. I live south of Harrisburg, PA about 30 min from the center. I remember for my iPhone 6+ I was charged a couple days before and it sat in processing up until late Thursday night. Then it made it's trek here by the way of Philadelphia & Jersey to get back here... My wife's 38MM Sport WSB took the strange root as well... screen shot below.

Maybe over the weekend they are stocking the DC points and we will see real action tonight or in the AM tomorrow. I hope so... my wife has been waiting until mine arrives. She said she would wait since she didn't think it was fair since I had to wait...

I am having a SS White band bought from eBay this Monday! I decided to pay the overprice and resell the black band one to a coworker. Still, I'm getting the black band (delivered in June!).

I just did this. If the SS BSB watch prepares for shipment before the SS WSB one then I'll just cancel the WSB watch order.

If the SS WSB watch ships before the SS BSB then I'll cancel the BSB watch order and get a just a BSB later when they are available. Yeah it's an extra $50 I'd rather have not spent but who knows when my original 42mm SS BSB would ship? Wish I'd thought of this on Friday.

I am 3:06 from Ithaca, NY, 42mm SS BSB EOD still processing.

My wife's 38mm SS BSB came on Friday. She let me wear it all day yesterday. Here is my mini review:

It can easily be argued that the Apple Watch is not a "necessity". But I think that argument misses the point. iPhones are not a "necessity" either. The reality is that it is a joy to wear and eminently useful. I miss it dearly this morning. :)

At first you want to play with it a lot. But your arm starts to ache very quickly! Holding your wrist in front of you is not comfortable for anything over a few seconds at a time. Furthermore, once you set everything up there really isn't that much to do at any one given time. But this isn't a problem because it is not meant to be used that way.

Where the watch shines is in brief interactions. Responding to messages is quick and easy. Answering the phone on your watch is fun and can be practical, and it is easy to switch on the fly if the conversation will be more than a few seconds. Siri on your wrist is absolutely fantastic.

What surprised me the most was the remote app for the Apple TV. I hate my regular Apple TV remote. I think the iPhone app is awkward as well. But the watch remote worked really really really well. Once it connects it stays as the active app so there is no delay when you need to pause or whatnot. Swiping the controls was very easy and much more natural than I expected. No more hunting for the crappy remote!

Lots more great stuff. Hang in there everyone! It is worth the wait!

I'm just going to tell myself it'll be here May 8th.

I hear ya. I still think it'll be this week. All those emails from executive relations stating that the xtra week is a cushion to be safe. I just want the watch before I go see Avengers 2 lol.

YouTube Reviewers?

Just a random observation.

Is it funny that random YouTubers who review Apple products have the 42 MM SS BSB? I just wonder how they got theirs so quickly? I'm not talking the big guys like, CNET, Tech Crunch, etc.

Just putting an update out on my order. I'm one of the Canadians who's order moved from processing to preparing for shipment late Friday evening. Yesterday morning around 9am EDT I received an email from Apple to inform me my order had shipped. However, it's now a day later and the tracking number I received from Apple still turns up no results on the UPS site.

Do you guys think it hasn't moved at all during that time? Perhaps that's why they told us Canadians to expect them on the 29th. Any other Canadians seeing the same?

I am in Colorado Springs, CO - mentioned upthread my card was charged about an hour ago. Order confirmation email was 12:02:50 (Pacific Time).

Hang in there! I am in Centennial and mine watch arrived Friday at 330pm after bouncing around on status! My confirmation email was April 10th @ 12:05 PST 38 SS BSB!

Also I can confirm the larger BSB piece is with the warranty info in the box and the small BSB piece is for tiny folks! I have girly wrists and the small piece wouldn't fit! I can also confirm Apple does honor the band swap per the article on here as long as it's same watch family AND get this! They'll include the new swap band on your existing order so your not at the end of the line! My new Milanse loop ships next week. I'll keep you updated as I am going to the class today at the Apple Store! Each day I am finding new things on the watch!

Good Apps tested:
Dark Sky
One Note
USA Today
All Apple provided apps

Poopy Apps:
Time magazine
Wanderlist
(I am sure there is more so I'll let you know)

Also Force Touch has a small learning curve and making and receive calls sounds and works great! Text messages work with practice but the Siri iPhone hand off is kinda lame! Hoping a micro web browser is released in the future for Siri questions. Apple pay works great but trips out store clerks :)

Still amazed no reports on tech sites about the launch process and frustrations

This thread is amazing with tons of emotion and frustrations. I know this is a very small subset of users but just think about what Apple left behind. The carnival atmosphere in their stores and all of the press about lines. Their employees, unlike the people answering the phone and chat sessions in this launch, were actually helpful. Then to add insult to injury made a few watches available in elite boutiques. They seemed to have lost their alignment with their base of loyal customers.

I would have preferred standing in a physical line, having employees walk down the line, asking what case and band combo we wanted. Cases packaged separately and bands separate to be sold together for customer assembly. That way you could choose. When they ran out of the size or color well you could still walk away with something. Corporate hubris. Time for another celebrity beer bash...

Well said. I for one cannot believe that Apple hasn't even made it through the first four minutes of this particular watch combination in the US yet. Let me repeat that again.....not even through the first four minutes of pre-orders yet.

I didn't get my order in for almost two hours after pre-orders went live. If we're still trying to get through the first four minutes I'm afraid Apple isn't going to get to my order until the very end of my 4-6 week window....if I'm lucky. Right now I wouldn't be surprised that my order slips well into June. I don't know what Apple is doing but I was certainly hoping to hear that they could make it through the first four minutes of orders a little bit quicker than this. Frustrating.
