I was assuming there wouldn't be charges today. Guess I'm happily proven wrong. Still processing though.
Ordered mine at 3:05:10 EST. still processing. Did I want it launch day? Yeah. My wife got her SG BSB launch day. I've just been living vicariously through her. But still. The letters people are writing are entitled and ridiculous. Enough people won't have one when you get yours that people will still be happy.
And if you want and are in the U.S. Hell I'll FaceTime you personally just to ooh and ahh over the watch when you do get it. If that makes you happy. The watch is cool. In two months you won't care. For those in June. I feel for you. That just sucks and I hope yours comes sooner.
As to whether the launch was botched?
I don't know enough about logistics but I'm not going to say this was botched without knowing how many thousands are being shipped each day or any hard facts.

There were some charges that went through this morning. Maybe there will be more...who knows!

It's like ordering a pizza from Domino's and receiving a 30-45 min delivery time...then emailing the CEO at the 30 min mark to tell him he failed. JK guys but seriously let's just be happy we're not waiting till June
That sounds to me like a stripper who buys breast implants obviously for herself. But after getting them is so eager to show them off and looking forward to compliments and bigger tips. I'm saying that I don't need that. I got up early because I wanted to place an early order to get my order early. That didn't work out this time around. But the excitement of getting the product and using it hasn't waned one bit for me. People that know me know I go for the Apple gadgets. They asked me on 4/24 and even now if I got it yet. I tell them not yet because Apple didn't make enough watches to satisfy initial demand so I might need to wait until 5/8. They tell me to let them know when I get it so they can check it out. So even if showing the watch off to others is still that important to you then realize that because of the watch backlog that many people would still not have seen someone who owns one. So you're still be able to parade around like a peacock if that is important to you.

. Currently, it's about 30 seconds a day. The latest arrivals are week 16 production just before launch day. Some of us expect some acceleration once Sunday is behind us, but its anybody's guess until we get more days.
I was thinking. If they are really doing 30 sec intervals almost every other day. With me being 00:06:12, I'm looking to be charged hopefully by the 7th for next day air. I hope they can get it out sooner but who knows. I guess we'll see.
Anyone in Canada who has the option to track shipment with UPS actually able to? When I click the track shipment button on apples site it takes me to UPS' website with this message ">>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later."

Exactly, with 322 million people in the U.S. I'm sure there will be lots of strutting for this person to feel important.
Same order and EOD as you but nothing yet on my end. However, this gives me hope mine will ship soon.
I think there are a lot of people that won't admit it to themselves, but in reality feel the exact same way as you. 6 weeks from now when the watch finally arrives and it is no longer a "hot" item... People are going to judge it more for what it actually does and less for "getting it first" which unfortunately is not going to be a good thing for Apple. They really, really botched this release.

I'm done playing these stupid, childish games with posts from people who have nothing better to do than try to attack people who are just venting to a group of people, most of which understand how they feel. Me personally, I'm not unhappy that I didn't get my watch launch day. My unhappiness started when I went to order and I was given a 2 week shipping window. This is the first time apple did this. I was also unhappy that apple said there will be no watches in store yet they changed their mind so close to launch and sent numerous watches to a few boutiques at the last moment. Those were watches that thei could have used to fill in Pre orders. And last I am unhappy that they changed the dynamic of Apple product launch altogether. I have no problem waiting a few extra days for my watch. It is after all still in the promised window. I'm just not happy that there was a window period. Until now, all launch preorders were guaranteed launch day delivery until the times started slipping.
I think they went light on production until they had an idea of what to expect when they received pre-orders. Now that they got initial shipments out, I'm sure they are ramping up production. They will have to more than 30 secs a day if they are going to be fulfilling the may 13th-27th groups let alone June
No one said a damn thing about strutting. It's about gladly showing off something to people who are also as excited about it. I have never once strutted, I assure you.

Let's keep it real in here. The whole point of this forum is for us to gripe about why we haven't received our watches yet. Everyone's primary focus is their own order. We only care about what happens to the next guy's order in determining what that means to our very own order.
