During the earnings call today, Apple did not reveal how many Apple Watches it sold so far. They love showing off first weekend sales for products, so they probably didn't meet their internal goal. :cool:

Not exactly. Apple clearly stated months ago that they would not be reporting watch numbers. They are lumping watch earnings in with accessories. The reason for this is they don't want to give competitors this kind of data right now.
 
My wife did the same thing....she text me earlier today and said it wasn't for her, but she thanked me anyway.....

I have a feeling this doesn't mean I saved any money, just that it will be spent in other areas!

Funny, thing is my wife loves her Apple Watch. She's bummed that the modern buckle is not available. In fact, I'm bummed our order were not the other way around. 1) Even though she really likes the watch, her release day excitement is not quite at my level. 2) If it was delayed to May 8th, which my 00:05:27 is looking like, I could have given it as a Mother's Day present. Now, I'm stuck spending more on a new LV wallet. I would much prefer getting a modern buckle if those were available.

ok this negates the theory of first come first serve... sgw was 04:22 and I was 04:24. region doesn't help either, because some people from cali are getting their watch shipped from PA too.. I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG, PROVES ME RIGHT! :cool:

so yea moral of the story, your grandma could order one right now and she will get hers before you, the one who waited till the crack of midnight / 3am. LOL

looks like they're processing :04 orders now. yours should be next... in other news, damn... that's how long the wait is???? 4 mins down and already 1 day delay. imagine the ones who ordered later LOL
 
Got my 42SSBSB today. Picked it up at UPS, opened it in my car in the parking lot to find a few small scratches on the side. Drove directly to the Apple Store in Manchester, NH to be told "Stainless steel isn't scratch proof and is prone to scratching. I recommend you go buy a stainless cleaning cloth and try and buff it out. We're being told that small scratches may happen during packing and shipping" To which I replied "that would be excellent advice had I scratched it on my own, however this just came out of the box 10 minutes ago and hasn't even been set up." After hearing him spew the same BS lines and telling me there was nothing they could do about 5 more times I left quite flustered and my wife (who's much more calm and collected) called support and spoke with a senior costomer care employee named Jeremy who said that was ridiculous and he'd see what he could do.

Latest update is that they will replace it, but can't confirm when yet as they are in such demand.

So, if anyone gets one with scratches. My advice is to call them, not go to a store as I was rudely told many times they have nothing and can do nothing in the store. I think he was pissed I had one and he's prob waiting for his...

Anyway, picture attached.

I've been Still Processing since 4/10, ordered at 12:06am from Southern California. 42 SS BSB. Also received email of doom. But today, I was just charged a pending value for Apple Care. It's the first sign of life.

BUT, my question is, anyone have this happen before their watch shipped and how long should I expect to be prepared for shipment and/or officially billed?

you should just wear it and scratch it to death... until your new shiny one arrives.. and return that piece of crap QA infested watch. that would teach them.
