Not me.
I did (and enjoyed) the i4 launch in Regent St (London), but for the 5 I ordered online for launch day delivery.
I plan to do the same thing for the 6.

That's why not having a contract is so much fun. You can upgrade when you want, not when someone tells you you can.
VZW is renowned to making its customers stick to the expiration date. Point taken, a simple call before potentially pre-ordering won't hurt.

I am tiring of incremental updates
I always wanted a bigger screen but given the bezel policy that Apple has, the 4.7 will be a much larger phone than other 4.7's, same with the 5.5.
Issues with the screens, given the rumours of sapphire and no sapphire, and problems.
Issues with the phone, Apple is certainly not immune to "phone-gate" release issues.
I will wait till I can hold one in my hot little hand, and be aware of release issues.
Then I will buy outright, or wait a year for the 2.0 version if things need to be ironed out

Very true. The few that go on contract with the plan they would have gotten anyway, does make a contract worthwhile.

No way will I queue like an iSheep. I'll wait until the colour and size I want are freely available.
You'll need her to set up your line as an authorized user. You can do this online for AT&T, don't know about the other carriers.
I'll try preordering if available. If I can't get it delivered on launch day then off to the mall I go.
Well I lined up last year for like 5 hours. If I can preorder this year I will not be lining up, but if I can't then to the line I will go...
The more I think about it, the more I think VZW will be less willing to move the date of the contract. Why? Because they want people to stop buying phones on subsidy and push them over to their EDGE program.
Why not just wait until the store has EXACTLY what you want? :-/
I could understand queueing all night for a free iPhone, but paying FULL retail and not even getting the colour you wanted? Crikey, that sounds dumb to me.
This whole camping out thing for what amounts to a tool in your life, like a screw driver, is beyond me....but to each their own.
I hope I can Pre-order like they did with the iPhone 4 and 5

More people buy the Iphone on the "Ticks" and less people get the "Tocks".
A release for a tick phone is overwhelming for apple stores, which is why they do them via pre orders.

I don't do lines. I'll preorder or wait and pick one up once the first week hysteria dies down. Not worth all the time and hassle of waiting in line. I'm ok waiting if I don't preorder.

If that was the case why is it the 5s outsold the 5 on launch weekend? Each iPhone sells more than previous, but apple should know by now how many they need to stock, yet keep it low.
