I originally had a 5s for a few months before upgrading to the 6.

Was disappointed in the 1gb ram and had to eventually sell it but promised myself I would return for the 10th iphone (Iphone 7). In the mean time I bought a 5s to wait and eventually bought a 7, but decided to return it and get the 10th anniversary model instead as the rumours kept pointing to this being the big update.

Who else is still holding on to an older model?

My mother-in-law is currently using an iPhone 5. It is a hand-me-down that we had available to get her out of her 4S, but by the end of the year, we plan to upgrade her to an iPhone SE or just upgrade me to the next iPhone and give her my 6s. I have the budget on lockdown because we are trying to get as much down payment as possible to build our next house.

Not my primary phones anymore, but I have an iPhone 5 64GB, there's my wife's iPhone 5 64GB and my son has an iPhone 4s 8GB which is his primary phone.

In fact, because the battery was swelling, my wife got a brand new iPhone 5 yesterday to replace her old one. My son is going to get that phone now.

My mom still uses her 5C. Good enough for her needs
One of my closest friends (who actually roped me into the Apple world) still has his 5c and is perfectly happy wqith it though the battery is getting old. Another passed her 4 to her sister who is still using it quite happily.

I have my 3S, 4S, 5S and 6S.... still use the 5 and 6 as phones.
Waiting for the 8S as I found nothing to about the 7 worthy of
upgrade purchase.

my boss is still using a 3GS!

Thought he might have something newer as he owns the computer company I work for.

I'm like hinesmj, I have a 5s laying in a drawer just in reserve as a backup if something happens to my 6s. I still get the 5s out from time to time just to fiddle with it. I just really liked the size and build quality of that phone, I could still carry it as a primary phone and not be bothered by it.

2 of them 1 I gave to my brother and he use it over sea and 1 my sister in law she like the size (5S factory unlocked)

My iPhone 5 (Black/Slate), my wife's (soon to be my son's) iPhone 5 (Silver) and my 6s+.

4s! Passed down to me from my son a few years ago when he defected to Android (Samsung Galaxy.) It still works for my basic needs, but I'm shopping for an upgrade. Was about to spring for either an SE 64GB or a refurb 6s 64GB from the Apple Refurb store. But now, with rumors of a March SE upgrade, I'm waiting a couple weeks to see what happens.

My wife's got a 5C, and is hoping for a 7 Plus or 8 Plus after we move into a new house.

I went from 3G to 4 to 5S to an SE. I really don't want, or need, a bigger phone, and was super-pleased when the SE was announced. I don't carry a purse (or "murse") like my wife does.

Yep! Hand me down 5S from my wife as she has an SE now! This device is suitable on iOS 10 no problems so far!

Still use the 5s as my daily, although the 16gb is getting tough. Going on 3 years still works as good as new. Been looking for a good deal to upgrade to the se. Hoping Apple offers 32 gb soon at a great price !

My mom still uses the 5s that i gave her when I upgraded to my current 6.

I think it's still a good phone. The only reason I upgraded is for a larger display, and 16GB was a bit limited.

That's a true testament to the iPhone, Is that it lasts long enough where you're able to pass it down to various family members and they're still operable for certain tasks. And I still see iPhone 4s in the wild, really a cool looking phone for its time.
