Who Still Uses The 4/4S?

My mom still uses the 4, but she basically only uses it to check the weather, make phone calls and text friends and family.

I still use my 4S (although its number was moved to the 6+), basically as an ipod for my music collection and streaming, etc. The 4s is actually still @ ios 5.01. :p

Just upgraded a few weeks ago from 4S to iphone 6.

And how is it? What differences do you notice?

I still use the 4S. I'd rather get a new phone but that's just fuelling my need for new tech.

If i'm honest with myself the phone is fine and works fine.

Its fine.

Shh. Do not utter such unsettling truths.

Is there much else a phone is needed for?

Still using my 4S, quite capable but memory issues here and there. I hopefully will get a newer iPhone soon and let my 4s become a music player.

Still rocking the 4 cause I like the smaller size. Its usually in my palm or in my back jean pocket. Yep, I sit on it all the time for hours.

I really don't want the big phone but I'm being force I guess. for second i considered going back old school to flip phone. Ha, I get the Iphone 6 once all the drama dies down.

I was using my 4S up until I got my 6 Plus, and was running iOS 8.0 on it. And if I hadn't got the 6 Plus, I would most likely still be using it. HSDPA+ was fine for most online activities, I had no physical damage to the phone, and iOS 8 ran very smoothly for me.

Just upgraded from a 4S to a 5S. I don't like a jumbo phone, so the 6/6+ were right out for me. The misses uses a 4S because she doesn't know better. When she starts to complain, I will probably get her a 5S. The 5S with 64bit and 1Gig of ram should last for the same iOS upgrades as the 6.

once you bigger you cant go back, thats a fact.

coming from a guy that loved the 3.5" screen and hated the 4" 5 screens. wince i use it , cant go back. used the 6, cant go back either.

same with phablet users, most cant go back because their so used to the screen real estate it frustrates them when they watch something, browse the web, etc etc

differences is pretty much self explanatory. more screen real estate, touch id, faster processor, double the RAM, higher pixels. more possible storage (128GB)

same as what makes a new computer bette rhtan the old essentially. besides features like touch ID and such oh and NFC.

I'm still using a 4S, 64 gig model.

Wanting to upgrade to 6 plus when it finally becomes available.

My 4S has pretty much had it. Been a workhorse for me for 3 years now and it has been the best phone I've ever owned. But it's dying a slow death. It's laggy, it freezes often, the battery can go from 100% to nothing in an hour of heavy use and the screen size or lack thereof is starting to make me squint. I don't dare upgrade it to ios8 as it would kill off my phone. I've never used the same device for 3 years but it's time to retire it, again, once I can get my hands on the 6 plus.

I won't be selling my 4S, have too many good memories of it. The $50 I could get for it, if that, won't replace the memories. It will sit in my top draw as a back up for emergency purposes.

Some of these features I don't care about. Speed and battery life do matter to me though.

I'm still on the 4 but not for much longer. Still on iOS 5.1, which no one supports anymore really.

since its kind of the trend, id just like like to know.

and it'll be good as a developer to see if we should still support the 3.5 " screen.

Who still uses it? and how efficient is your 4?

i use the 4S as an overseas phone because its unlocked, its pretty frustrating because it lags and it does crash more often probably because of memory issue. But i still rather use my 4S then an android, when I'm traveling.

How about you?

I'm still using the iPhone 4. I had no problems up until iOS 6, but ever since the iOS 7 update I've been getting increasingly frustrated with the sluggishness of the device. Can't wait for the iPhone 6 (it releases on October 17 where I live).

I intended to sell my 4S when I bought my 5s, but once I listened to music on the 5s, I decided to keep my 4S as my iPod. The sound from the 4S is MUCH louder and sounds miles better than any newer iPod or iPhone. Also still used it for WiFi browsing and sometimes to make calls.

Yes, I upgraded my 4S around the 25th of September to the Nexus 5. Don't use my iphone anymore, I use my iPod Touch 5 for iOS; I hated being limited to the small form factor!

And my OnePlus One is coming tomorrow.. Yay!

I have an iphone 4s and an iphone 3gs

3GS still very capable if you really only need the phone to text and make calls, still surprisingly fast given its age and the tech inside it

Apple did a much better job with ios6 on it, than they did with ios7 on the iphone 4...which just made it a chore to use.

4S still runs like a champ

If I could downgrade the iOS version of it (to say iOS 6) then I wouldn't even mind using a 4s as my daily driver, love the size of it, buuuuut since Apple strongarms us into using the latest iOS version even if it degrades performance then I'd have to pass.

I used a 4S until I upgraded to a 6 Plus a few days ago.

The 4S isn't unbearable but the battery life has gotten worse and worse. The speed and lag is becoming an issue also. I didn't notice how small the screen is until I looked at the 4S again after some time with the 6 Plus. With all that being said, the 6 Plus is a huge upgrade for me and I'm loving every second of it. :apple:

Not true. I have an iPhone 6 and I could easily go back to the 5s. The only reason I don't is because I take lots of pictures and the camera in the 6 is so much better than on the 5s.

Same for me

I still use my 4 in combination with a mini-ipad air. It's a little slow and small sure, but it's tough and I always wear it on my belt. I was lusting for an iphone 6 plus, but that's too big for a belt. I'm also waiting for at least 2gbs of Ram, probably next gen. I'd love a new apple toy but I can't find any compelling reasons to get one. Even the camera photos don't fill the whole screen on the new iPhone. It's a good reminder that you don't need the latest gadget. I usually keep my mini-ipad with me for surfing, reading, photos etc. You can buy a 4 or 4s pretty cheaply now with a retina screen. For the time being it's good enough.

I still use my 2 years old 4s..battery life is poor but I found it poor even 2 years ago..it's running latest version of iOS 8.the screen size is definitely impractical for anything beside phona calls and sms.
But then I have no choice but to use it,not intrested in either 6 or 6 plus due to durability issues and don't want android.it's a tough situation here!

My husband and I still use our 4s..that would be plural. Both still function pretty well but my battery seems to be draining a lot faster. And my touch screen is not responsive sometimes. I'm looking to upgrade but he'll likely hang onto his a bit longer, he likes the size of it. Neither of us use our phones much outside of calls and text because the screen is just too tiny for our aging eyes. I can't wait to get a bigger phone.
