I think Apple's answer to color is the official cases they make. Honestly, that is good enough for me. As cool as a "legit" green or red phone would be, I would slap a case on it anyway.
Of course, there is the 5C, but coloring plastic is both easier and cheaper, I would imagine, than anodizing aluminum in variable colors.
In short, I wouldn't be against it, but it is nothing I am clamoring for. if it comes, great. If not, such is life.
