The only anime I watch is Studio Ghibli and Gundam Wing. Castle in the Sky is by far my favorite, but I also really like Spirited Away. I always watch them w/ subtitles.

Being raised in Japan, I guess I just naturally watched "anime" without really giving it a second thought, but yes, I enjoy Japanese animated TV series and films.

Among my favorites are -

Evangelion
Dragon Ball (the old one and Z, none of that GT crap)
Koukaku Kidoutai (Ghost in the Shell)

I never watched Cowboy Bebop but have heard it is excellent.

I also really liked this one when I was a kid called "Nuube" which I'm sure no one has heard of...

And of course the Ghibli films. Classics.

I love anime so much I am putting Bleach and Naruto on my iPod every episode except fillers.

I have every Naruto SHippuuden episodes 1-34 on the pirate bay.

Due to the growing Otaku culture here in South Africa Sony recently released an Anime channel showing, you guessed it, ANIME 24/7. It's not really my thing but I enjoy Hellsing and the occasional episode of Gundam (seed I think)- honestly what's there not to like about mobile fighting suits!

And this channel is in America? How are you able to get access to it?

Like the one millionth thread about this. :p
Nah... not really, there are some specific threads out there about certain films/show and/or their introduction on iTMS, but I merged the two "general" animé threads I found with some basic searching...

I'm not the biggest fan, but I greatly appreciate films like:
  • Ghost in the Shell
  • Akira
  • Spirited Away
  • Princess Mononoke

Anyone see Paprika? I really liked that movie. Don't really watch Anime because most of the time I don't like the stories.

Paprika
Princess Monoke
Castle in the Sky

Are the usual ones I watch.

Yeah I've seen Paprika, that's one rather confusing film, although I did fully appreciate it afterwards.

At the moment I'm now watching Death Note. It has to be one of the most brilliant shows I've seen in a long time.

Just finished Wolf's Rain. Nick's Avatar: The Last Airbender is quite good for a kid's show. Was suggested Mushi-shi and Monster....for streaming anime I watch them at otakucenter.

Don't be silly. Sony released the 'Animax' channel in RSA for all digital subscribers..

EDIT: Oh wait, you think the channel is called ANIME 24/7.. No, I was just saying that the anime is being shown all day everyday. :p

I absolutely love anime and manga. To the point to where I attended Otakon last year, and this year am cosplaying :D

My current favorite series is Bleach. It just seems to be getting better and better as it goes along.

Azumanga Daioh is probably some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.

I used to watch Pokemon and Digimon if that counts? That was waaaay back in the day though. I don't watch anything now. Although, I did watch the promo for Avril Lavigne's "Make 5 Wishes" last year, if that counts?

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I'm bored here at work.

I watch One Piece, and have been patiently waiting for Kaizoku-Fansubs to release their next translation (TV Special 4 I think).
