France drew against Korea, man they really went down in the last 8 years.

That's because their team is vitually the same as it was 8 years ago. They desperately need more youth in their team.

Are we voting for "our" team, or voting realistically?

i mean.. USA are going nowhere (sorry :p), and if England's First 2 games are anything to go by they are gonna do ***** against the stronger teams.

I voted Brazil.

Well, if you'd watched Brazil's first two games, you'd also say that they weren't going anywhere.

In fact, so far the only team which has really impressed is Argentina.

Were they ever that good? :p ;)
Surely it takes something to win the Euro 2004? Dont forget this is a competition with some seriously top teams. i.e. Eng er land

I want the USA to win, obviously, but if Argentina plays well throughout the tourney (like they did against S&M), I doubt anyone would be able to stop them...

England's playing like the patriots - getting the wins without wasting energy. All of the great teams get a slow start in the Group rounds because they're playing a long term game, compared to the US, or Austrailia, whose world cup futures could end very, very soon (2 US red cards, come on).

In addition, Rooney has not been playing, he's their young hope. Crouch, Beckham, Rooney? They're going to dominate.

Austrailia was frustrating the hell out of Ronaldinho, it was pretty funny.

But Portugal really surprised me - their young player, Ronaldo, was on fire! I'd like to see a Brazil/Portugal game and pit the two Ronaldos against each other!!

I'd like to see the US get into the final eight, though.

Rooney's ready. Crouch will sit as will Gerrard (yellow card) and Hargreaves will get the go ahead to see if he can deliever.

Ronaldinho was frustrating Ronaldinho. His footing, dribbling, receiving and passing off, peripherally were not nearly as keen as what's usually been a trademark. He'll show up one of the future games. It won't be so funny for the opposition.

Portugal is solid. Their coach is Brazilian. It would be a good game although it would have to wait all the way 'til the Semis.

They've taken so much BS and ridicule for the Czech shellacking and hardly anyone has given well deserved praise for holding off Italy to a tie with 9 men. They'll play without Pope and I'm still waiting for Beasley to prove he deserves to be on the pitch. So they are faced with a must win. What it is is what it is.
