I'm flying out to the States on the morning of the 9th, so I might try and order a handset online via the O2 website so it'll be waiting for when I get home. I think that'll be the easiest option.

I'm planning to go to the trafford centre too!!!!! I can't wait till the 9th, I've already been in the apple store twice pestering them hoping to find out anything about how many they are getting. I do not want to be disappointed come the evening of the 9th.😀😀😀

this is why i went ahead and had one imported from the states..though some people disagree with it...im totally happy with it so far

Same here. I nearly picked one up in the states the other month but it was the day that Apple released 1.1.1 and bricked lots of phones so I didn't want to risk it and picked up a Touch instead.

I was all set, even added photos for all my Address Book contacts. Then o2 said "unlimited data" meant 200mb per month.

I'll sit back and hope that all you guinea pigs are going to get the tariff improved.

(oh yea, I don't want to unlock an iPhone, unless they're forced to make it easier to unlock because of EU laws and that.)

No, I won't be getting one, it's a bit big for me. I've just had to replace my old mobile and bought a Nokia 6300. Nice and slim and I'm very happy with it. Apple will still get my money, however; I shall be using it to upgrade to an MBP next month. 🙂
