Who's Going 128GB?

I am.

Three primary reasons:

-Even with Apple's cloud services, I like to store lots of things locally. Never know when you'll be out of the data coverage area, and it eases the burden on my data plan. And with the larger screen I anticipate more videos.

-You can never have enough storage.

-It was only a few bucks more each month on ATT Next.

I dont like to have to juggle or cycle whats on my phone. 128GB is what im going for. I want to store everything I have without having to worry about space.

I went 128GB for sure. Currently have a 5 w/ 64GB and it just isn't enough. 128GB isn't quite enough either... would like to see 256GB in the near future (perhaps the 7?).

It's not because of movies / video... I'm with Lynch on that one: "It's such a sadness that you think you've seen a film on your ****ing telephone. Get real."

It's music. I'm not a FLAC nut, but I appreciate higher bitrates and have a large library at 320kbps. I still use the iPod Classic daily because it can accommodate a good selection of that library. In comparison, my iPhone 5 64GB can only bear a dissatisfyingly limited selection from there (esp. when you add in apps, photos, etc.). The 128GB will give me some more headroom to make it a more viable "all in one" device.

Especially if I end up selling my iPad Air and J1 camera, I am considering the 128GB model -- especially since I filled up 64GB on my iPhone 5. Still, I found on the 5S I can do fine with 32GB if I delete apps I don't use. I'm a little torn between 64GB and 128GB, but I don't think I'd have many issues with 64GB. If I had 128GB I'd probably store a bit more music on it but for now 64GB may be fine.

An hour of recorded video should take up approximately 8GB, if that helps anyone's decision.

Who's getting the 128GB-- and why?

It seems likely for me that I'll be going 64GB now unless availability is less tight on the 128GB. In a year I could upgrade to 128GB if I needed to :).

I've got to be honest here; I've pre ordered a 64 gig Plus (I've got a 64 gig 5S with 35 or so gig taken), but I am now wondering if I should simply get the 128 gig?

I have no real rational reason for this, other than "Just Because"...

I went with 128GB. I'm using around 32GB of my 5s, but I anticipate storing more media locally. I've sold my iPad Air and I hope the 6+ will be enough.

If not, I'll by the iPad Air2.

A quick question if I may; can you import photos on an iPhone?

I'm thinking as I'm getting a Plus, putting all my photos on it might be quite nice.

240fps Video with 720p
60fps Video with 60fps
11fps Photos

128 GB model is appropriate.

I've gone for 128gb because my iPhone 5 is 64gb and constantly full, and like others have said the resale on a 128gb will be higher.

32 gig has been tight but enough on my 5s. I was going 64 but may jump to 128 for faster delivery.

I ordered a 128 G iPhone 6. I don't want to have to worry about how much music I have on my phone and I want to be able to take photos and videos without worry as well.

If I could do it again I'd probably have just got the 128GB 6+. I did 64GB though which will be more than fine. My 5S was 16GB and I was fine.

The only thing is I'll likely watch a lot of movies and such on the 6+ and that'll take up a ton of space quick. Also apps and other media.

Not talking about watching movies. Talking about shooting/storing videos (which don't automatically get sent to iCloud photo stream btw). When you have kids, you shoot a lot of video. It's incredible how much space they take up.

I don't use the Cloud for anything except Contacts :)

And I have 2 kids, both in elementary school. My Canon T2i is the heavy lifter in that department! What I've found is that we revisit pictures a hell of a lot more than video. So we rarely take video anymore; pictures seem to do a better job presenting a memory of a moment for us than a video for some reason.

For those mentioning resale value, the resale value relative to the additional $200 you're paying over the 16gb and $100 over the 64gb is actually significantly lower. So I wouldn't consider that a good reason to go higher.

I like to keep about 1GB free as some apps create temp files that take up space.

I try, but I take a lot of photos/videos, so whatever space I have gets filled up pretty quickly. :(

virtual HOARDERS!!! :p

Not so! My musical tastes are exceptionally varied, and I like to carry lots of music of lots of different genres with me. Also, as indicated above, tons of photos/videos. :)

I got the big iPhone, so naturally I got it with 128GB of storage. It's the biggest one Apple makes. No more puny iPhones for me. Going big or going home.

Have had bit iPhone 5 & 5S with 64GB and went with 128GB just for the piece of mind. Can never have too much storage especially if you take a lot of pictures or video.

I hear this. I think the issue is that looking at photos on a phone screen is a semi-satisfying experience, and even better on an iPad, which can happen automatically with photos thanks to photo stream.

For videos, satisfying starts on an iPad, even better on a TV. Either way, to get the videos from phone to iPad or TV takes "some process" for each. You can't "just do it."

For the first few years of my kids lives I had an editor friend cut together an 8-10 minute video (the perfect gift for grandparents) culled from the 10+ hours of footage I took of them throughout the year. He's a pro - amazing choices, fantastic music, transitions, etc. For us those videos are by far the best preservers of memories. And way better than the zillions of photos we have.

You're also carrying another device which I can't bear to do at this stage! Not trying to convince you of anything :)
Just my own experiences.

My phone is pretty jam packed with family pics (2 young kids and all) along with movies and TV shows to catch up on for the commute.

On top of which, I'll be getting the 1080P versions now, so I'll definitely need as much space as I can get.
