I always kind of regarded Rolexes as something I would never own until I got one as a work present. It is a vintage model, I think from the '60s or '70s, rebuilt and guaranteed, so it is like new. I like the understated style of this model. It is fun to wear both with ragged clothes and for those dressier occasions.
It is my only bling.
For hiking and in instances where a Rolex would be wrong, I wear my Casio G-shock atomic. It is big, different and totally accurate. I think. Should be.
I found that Rolex isn't a bad choice for those wanting an expensive watch because there is a robust market for used ones, they are always welcome as trade-ins and they are available as guaranteed remans, like mine. The parts are readily available and will be forever, and there are many techs who know how to work on them.
