I've never worn a watch before...growing up in the digital era I've always just used my cell phone for time. But now I want a watch, and I have no clue where to start. I'm looking for a brown band and most likely a gold bezel. Can anyone give me any recommendations? I don't necessarily want to spend a lot of money on it. Just something that looks nice. Figured the people in this thread would have a good idea on where to point me.

First off, how much do you want to spend? Do you want it to be a mechanical/automatic or quartz? Do you want it to be real gold or not? Yellow, rose or white goal? Date or no date? Chronograph or not? There's just so much out there that you really have to start looking at the styles that you like to narrow it down.
