I just checked google maps satellite view and don't see any lines at the stores near me.

Wait... maybe google maps has removed anything Apple?

:)

On line in the 5th spot at the AT&T store near Iowa City, IA. Got here when the mall opened at 5am. There are probably 16 or so on line right now. I expect more will come as it gets closer to opening time in about 90 minutes. :apple:

Been here since 5:30 in Minneapolis. It's really not that bad. A little chilly, but the people who make fun of the guys who wait in line are trying to compensate for something. People must feel better about their own pathetic life if they make fun of someone who waits in line.

At the Sprint store on Church St in Evanston Illinois and 1st in line. No one else in line at all. Beat the Sprint employees to the store even :D

That's cuz it's Sprint

Yup, and I live in Chicago which is on the short list of upcoming LTE cities. Looking forward to being one of the first people in the area to have LTE on Sprint.

I have never had any complaints regarding Sprint's service. I do agree the 3G is painfully slow but it has never let me down in regards to having data when I needed it. And working as a security guard I need data frequently for things like google maps to find job sites in obscure parts of town I am unfamiliar with. Or just to web surf while bored silly on a job site.

Pathetic people go wait in a line for hours to get a slightly better, but SAME exact phone as the 4/4s.

So I really wasn't paying attention but at about 1am one of the guys further ahead busted out a piece of butcher paper and looked like he was drawing. Finished about 5am and this is what he was working on...

Pretty cool, at least I think so, and the apple employees got a kick out of it....

I was so tempted to wait last night but Radio Shack came through. In fact I was up until 3am trying to decide.I called at 815am and my store only received 1 16g black and 1 16g white from AT&T.I hope everybody who waited in line gets theirs w/i the next hour.

I just got home from my AT&T store, and now setting up my white 64GB iPhone 5 :) This thing is ridiculously light. I didn't notice any scuffs on mine so that's good. There were only about 12 people in line and the AT&T employees had free coffee and donuts for us. Also, the regional manager was there and told me all the AT&T stores got about 40 phones, so if any of you were wondering.

5 min to go till my AT&T opens San Antonio 12th in line with about 50 behind me. Camera crews are here

I got the last 16 gb black. At any sign of scuffing, it's being traded for white.

I was out in 15 mins and even though i was 2nd in line, i was set up and activated first. I should have gotten a mug or something since i was a new Verizon customer :p

The line at my local AT&T store was gone by 1010am ET when the last phone was sold.I had to visit the store for a new SIM with my i5 that I got at morning at 902am at Radio Shack.AT&T had another shipment arrive when I was there so they will have more phones available soon.
