Last day is Friday for 14 day period, anybody returning their 8?

I am, getting back to my 6s :) First year I didn't go crazy for the iPhone, will see about X.

Probably the only people returning the 8 are the ones who never really wanted it, but couldn’t last all the way to November without buying something. Since the 8 is really just a refinement and spec bump of the 7 (which isn’t a bad thing) it’s not like people didn’t know what they were getting when they bought it.

Not necessarily. I wanted the 8 Plus over the X. But I decided I'd like to try the X. If I decide I don't like it, I'll buy the 8 Plus again.

Do you have to pay some sort of restocking fee or something for returns? I’ve never returned an Apple product.

I returned mine yesterday. Gonna try the X.

There was no restocking fee to return to apple. I returned my phone last night.

I assume if you got it through a carrier though it goes back to them not Apple

I’m happy with my 8plus, don’t feel the x was quite ready to be released, maybe next years will tempt me more. I appreciate the functionality the iPhone has as is, and I’m happy the nice spec bump from my 6s plus will future proof me for a couple years easily. This was one of the largest speed boosts iPhones have had over a previous generation, atleast from a benchmarks standpoint.

6s vs the 8? No comparison. 8 is a great phone. I think the issue has more to do with the “is there something better” syndrome. I’m sure the X will be a nice phone. But the 8 in its own right is a great phone. Even though I have a hard time telling the difference between my wife’s 7 and my 8. Only way I can tell is by our cases.

I would say the majority who purchased iPhone 8, consciously knew that the iPhone X would not be for them for two reasons, #1.), They're not interested in Face ID or the latest technology, #2), The price point was to high.

But for those who migrated to the iPhone 8, likely came from an older device from under the iPhone 7.

And as another forum member mention, Apple is really good about the 14 day return policy and encourage those who aren't sure, to take advantage of trying an iPhone for 14 days and returning it within that timeframe.

Came from an iPhone 6, which I had for three years. Very happy with the 8. Love the wireless charging. Not interested in paying over a grand for an iPhone.

Returned my 8+. Loved it, but not too different from my 6+. Will try for X, if I don't get it, I will just wait for X+ next year.

Same as me. My 6 was great so the step up in performance for the 8 is fantastic. Battery life is unreal; I can easily get into a 2nd day with medium usage

Typing this my phone has been on standby for 31 hours with over 6 hours of use and still showing 24% remaining :)

I almost did, but because I was highly tempted by the recently announced google pixel xl 2. But my Apple Watch was the deciding factor.

I’m happy with the 8 plus, and not really interested in the X. Next year, I’ll give the next model a harder look.

The 8 plus is a rock solid phone. I literally have zero complaints, and that includes the screen and design (coming from a note 8, and a s8 before that. The extra “features” of the X will be great for YouTube comparisons and bragging rights here, for those overly invested.

But I’ll continue enjoying the 8 plus and living my life, while others agonize about the extended wait and backorders.

As an added bonus, I’ll be ready to upgrade release day, next year, and be a few dollars richer having not picked a $1400 phone.
