one thing that pisses me off is the elimination of 3D touch. a ton of my apps lost functionality after that elimination, and i have to learn a completely new system for text manipulation. most of this could be attributed to iOS 13, but 3D touch is my biggest gripe.

I have another Genius Bar appointment for tomorrow. I've used AirPods since they were released. I bought the second gen with wireless charging case shortly after they came out. Never, ever have I had any audio problems. On the 11 pro, they pop and crackle. Highly annoying. Just did a factory reset on the phone, they still pop and crackle. If they can't fix this at tomorrow's appointment, back it goes.

Got my iPhone 11 today in (Product)Red and am loving it! Came from a Xs Max (which will go to my lady).

I was running iOS Dev 13.1 beta 4 on the Max so when I got home I had to set the 11 up as a new phone, download the Dev profile and then download 13.1/4. After that was done, erased all content and settings and then restored from a backup that I made. So far...works like a champ!

What a guy! Does it feel like a downgrade? I’ve thought about going from a XS to an 11.

Returned my XS Max last year due the yellow screen and returned the 11 Pro Max this year due the yellow screen and the heavy weight.

I hope I have more luck next year when ordering the 11S.

Returning mine because the camera is faulty. It was a bit of a nightmare getting Apple to agree to advance-ship one considering I’m 3 hours away from the store and have AppleCare+

What issues did you have with the camera?
0.5x only works in the dark when the flash is on.

1x doesn’t show at all, just a black screen.

2x only works when you open the camera app in landscape but it’s unfocused and blurry.

Snapchat/Instagram show a black screen in the camera mode and will crash when pressing the camera button

Torch doesn’t work at all

Front facing camera sometimes works but didn’t for setting up FaceID after a factory reset

the torch is greyed out in the control centre

I’m still on the fence. Going from 10 to 11 Max. I like the bigger size. The camera is definitely better. Just not sure if it’s enough for my wife and I to both eat the cost. Camera is definitely the most important feature for us. We take a lot of pictures. But after a couple of days of testing so far the side by side shot comparisons we have done are not as earth shatteringly different as I expected.

Better on the newer phone for sure, but not sure it’s $3k better.

They wouldn’t advance ship one to me - even though I said I was more than happy for them to put a hold on my card. That was in my call Friday. I also have AppleCare.

However today they did escalate and put in a request for next day shipping and possible sending it out this week due to the delay in starting my return even though I contacted them immediately after I opened it. I got the replacement order in my app and return label in my email while I was still on the phone. Next day shipping is on the replacement phone order. She couldn’t guarantee I would have my new phone this week (due to the 2-3 week delay in online supply for my model) but she’s trying, and considering how quickly the rest of what she said she was doing showed up, I believe she is trying. Plus she offered a free leather case so there’s that.

I haven’t noticed much difference outside of night mode. I’m keeping but just barely as I know I’m probably upgrading next year as well. Hopefully deep fusion is worthwhile

Although i love the new camera system and the green color i chose, im not sold on the display. I went out to eat lunch today with my wife who has an iPhone X and her display was not only brighter but also not as yellow as mine. Im not terribly happy about this. Its one of the reasons i chose Apple over most other OEMs, is they tend to have a better color balance and display quality variance, but this years model is really a disappointment. I feel i should have stuck with my iPhone XS Max after all.

It looks like the 11 Pro screens are indeed warmer than the X. I’m in the same boat compared to my X. It does have more pop under some lightning. However, sometimes it just looks more yellow. The screen is brighter, but only when you turn off Auto Brightness in Accessibility. When it’s off, it obliterates the screen on the X with Auto Brightness off as well. I’m not sure if that’s worth it though, as I’m not gonna keep it off risking permanent burn-in.

Absolutely not! Keeping my 11 Pro Max 512. Didn’t think I would ever have more storage in my phone than my MacBook Pro but here we are.

Camera quality is incredible, night mode is dope, and love what I can do with the ultrawide.

Battery life is amazing, it’s not even a comparison to my XS Max.

Screen is excellent, although I can’t really notice much improvement over my XS Max which was also excellent. Missed 3D Touch initially but Haptic is fine and I’m already adjusting (I think this topic is wayyy overblown).

Hoping the matte/frosted glass stays around forever! It low key might be my favorite thing about this phone. Just feels so premium and I love the color and that it’s not a fingerprint magnet. Also love the minimalist look with the removal of “iPhone” and the new Apple logo placement really balances out the design on the back IMO.

Overall this feels like a much bigger advancement over last year than I was expecting.

Keeping mine for sure. I moved from the iPhone XS to the 11 Pro Max. I didn't think I would love the bigger size, but here I am....loving it. I also love the camera and the better battery life. Super happy with my decision. And the Midnight Green!!! I can't get enough.

You’re gonna have to do something with that 6s at some point! Lol.
As for the OP, absolutely not. I love my 11 Pro.

I know right. I can’t imagine going on vacation in this day taking pictures with 6s quality, not after I’ve experienced all the greatness newer iPhones had to offer and now the 11 pro. I want my pictures and family pictures to be the best they can be so I upgrade, not sure why he would not.

Don’t return just yet, don’t forget to have a night out in the town and take those night shots.

Most of us really concerned about picture quality on vacation use actual cameras... with lenses just a bit bigger than the eraser head of a pencil. I'm very concerned, which is why I don't use my phone.

I’m definitely not returning my 11 pro, I’m coming from an iPhone XS Max. Camera is too important for me to go back, and this size is perfect. After years of going one size down and then one size up I n finally say the max is too unworldly for my liking, and I’m 6’3” with big hands. The 11 pro is the perfect and comfortable size for taking pictures with one hand.

If they or Verizon can’t fix the activation problem I’ll be returning mine ASAP.

I ported from AT&T to Verizon... at least the phone piece did.

I'm still having to do SMS through the old AT&T service as somehow that didn't port.

Well that’s interesting because most people On vacation take pictures with their phones and not dedicated cameras, and most people upgrade their phones because of better cameras.
