Who's switching to a different colored iPad 3?

Just for anyone confused about why I brought up white being "girly":
When the iPad 2 released, threads started popping up discussing the new color and lots of guys were saying it's girly. Could have been trolling though I think most were genuine. I agree it's ridiculous, especially since it's a neutral color. If we were talking about the polyurethane Smart Covers, it'd be a different story. I like how the white brings back some nostalgia with the old iPods.

i think ill go white too when i buy one!, personally i just think it looks nicer, i read recently that apple found it harder to shift the white iPads, which i found hard to believe since a LOT of people seem to have the white iPad,....as for the "black being for boys", it is true that some people do hold that stupid view of these things, when i bought my blackberry curve, i bought the white model, and my bother asked me if they were all out of the "mens blackberries"....bastard lol,..but ya, its a silly thing to think white is for girls and black is for boys,....when i was growing up pink was for girls...now i see guys walking round wearing baby pink t-shirts,.....some things should just stay the way they were lol

also, looking at the poll at the top of the page, that last option "neither, im buying one of the new colors revealed on 7th of march",......what is this about new colored ipads?, i havnt seen or heard anything about apple bringing out new colors, ...is this just another silly rumor that's being taken seriously?, apple have always been black or white,...i really don't think their going to release a bunch of different colored iPads. but who knows.

I prefer the white since it seems like Apple's signature color and it's a little different, since it seems everyone I know has black iPhones and iPads. Besides, the white bezel doesn't show fingerprints, just like my white 4S.
Nah, no rumors. I was just playing but it's always fun to imagine the possibilities. iPods come in a variety of colors. Product (RED) or maybe the iPad could come with an aluminum colored bezel. Smart Covers are good for adding some color to the iPad but not everyone buys one.

So im back with new thoughts about why Im choosing the black one over the white... I actually think its the "back" that sets me off... The black has 2 colors (black and silver/alu) - the White has 3 colors (white, black and silver/alu) - If Apple was to do a version with a White apple logo and white buttons, then Id prob. would buy the white... just dont like the 3 color mash-up...
Something like that but also with white buttons and maybe white "iPad" logo - Would also be VERY VERY cool if they made the APPLE light up like on the Macbooks

Sh...t. You're right, this bothered me last year and was a big reason why I didn't exchange my black for a white back then. I forgot about that because my white iPhone doesn't have the same issue. The black text, Apple logo, sleep/volume buttons annoy me.
I don't get it. Apple went through so much trouble to make sure the inside of the dock connector and headphone jack were white for the iPhone but they're nowhere near as meticulous for the iPad. The white iPad would look great with the Macbook's white logo

I just recently sold my white iPad 2 that I bought last year, and I plan on buying a white iPad 3 come March. I'm a guy, and I don't see why people think it's girly. My HTC Radar is white (and I plan to get the next iPhone this fall in white). I just prefer white because the majority of my other electronics are black (TV, monitor, Xbox, camera, etc) and I want a little bit of variety.
I have a black iphone and thought I'd get a black iPad but ended up going with white and loving it so I think I will stick with it.
I have a white iPad 2, and I love it. The color is beautiful and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. However, the next iPad I get, which will most likely be the one after the iPad 3 (2s?), will be in black. My iPod touches are both black, and they are so bleh. When I buy the iPhone 4s next month I will be getting that in white, because for some reason the smaller iPhones and iPod touches look great in white, and the black looks better on the iPad. But, at the end of the day, it's just a color...I'm just grateful to have what I have go

It would be hugely expensive, but If there were a dark metallic blue?....I'd have to bite....Otherwise? Black for me.
They can't make it illuminate as easily as with MacBooks but they definitely should be putting a white logo and white rocker/volume/sleep switch for the white iPad and because White iPad/Black Logo just looks sloppy.So im back with new thoughts about why Im choosing the black one over the white... Yeah, thats what I mean, it looks sloppy with three colors instead of the two .. -And hey, in some way all who cares for Apple, must be somewhat into aesthetics, otherwise they would prob. buy a plastic fantastic android

I think I'm going to stick with white. My dock connector is white, along with my iPhone4S and it's dock too.
But, we'll just have to wait and see what the announcement brings.

I had the original iPad in black, (that I sold so I could pay for the iPad 3 easier) and I have been thinking about this a lot. The white home button bothers me a bit cuz it just doesn't look right on the white iPads.. And it seems like everyone at my school who got the iPad 2 got a white one and evereyone got the white iPhones and iPod touches too... So going for what isn't common doesnt matter, but from others who own the white iPad 2, how distracting is the bezel? That's the reason I'm leaning towards the black a little...
If I get a white one I'm going to get a light blue or orange Smart Cover for sure though. Not sure with the black...

No it doesn't distract me, just as a black iPad doesn't distract me when I look at websites or view brightly lit full screen videos.
