Order already placed! Going from a cellular aluminum 44mm S4 to a 42mm aluminum non cellular model. I activated the cellular on my watch for a few months and just hardly used it so skipping that thus go around.

I’m tempted by the always-on display. Seeing it worn by a couple of the presenters was compelling. It makes the watch better as a watch...

I think if I had an aluminum watch I might have but with a SBSS S4 that I paid $750 and Apple is offering $110!!! for I will just wait for Series 6. I am torn if I should go to aluminum as I don't think I truly care about the SBSS vs. SG Aluminum look but I do care about the sapphire screen but $750 a year for yearly upgrades with only $110 (Apple) or maybe $250-300 on Ebay make it seem to frivolous even if I have the cash.

I went from SS / Sapphire to Aluminum / ion. No issues with either after 10 months. Not a mark on the body or any abrasions in the glass, despite workouts and everyday use, plus some deck building this summer. Would not hesitate to do again.

Ah ok. Ordered. Darn you! Haha.

You will not regret it. It’ll be like an entirely different device.

My S4 still doesn’t do “spontaneous” Siri (i.e., raise to invoke) well, but it is an exceptional device in all other respects. If you’ve never experienced the Infograph face, you are in for a treat. You’ll never miss not having true Widgets on the phone.

Thanks, for a split second I was thinking of upgrading, but your thought process makes a whole lot of sense, as I'm in the exact same position. I love the sapphire screen, which I have without a protector and no worries about damage. And selling on eBay makes MUCH more sense, but I think I will wait for Series 6. I sold my Series 3 on eBay, got a great price, and was able to make someone else very happy.

The bump from 16GB to 32GB has me interested, but no, will hold off for the series 6. $110 just isn’t enough incentive especially as I bought my 4 in May 2019.

Ahh awesome, you’ve got me excited!
I think it’ll be huge for sure coming from series 2.
Went with the aluminum space grey, 44mm

Great choice! That’s what I got, with one of the sport bands. I kept my Milanese loop from my Series 0. Pairs nicely with the aluminum.

$110? I checked twice and it said $120 both times. Either way, it's SUPER offensive of Apple. Last year the trade for AW3 was $250. Bad, but not as bad as $120. Absolutely ridiculous.

So short answer? Maybe. My AW4 is giving me issues recording exercise minutes...again (probably software related).

I saw nothing that would make upgrading attractive to me. I don't want always on, and I don't need the extra memory. Further, the trade-in value on the S4 isn't that great, either, regardless of who you sell it to. I'm happy to get another year out of my S4.

I am. I literally just was thinking while I was working out earlier how convenient it would be if the display was on so I could check my heart rate and time progress without flipping my wrist. No brainer for me.

Pretty much the only reason why I would upgrade, aside from more storage - having said that with my S4, I’m barely using half the storage anyway, so it’s not really a deal breaker...
