I would say no, but if I got a good chance to sell mine iP5, who knows.... I was saying the same thing using my 4S :D

I would like to; however, I will only be upgrading to the 5S from my 4S if they increase the storage capacity. I only have 1.2 GB left on my 64 GB model. Aside from storage, I have no gripes with the 4S - it still runs like butter; still holds all my content (for now); and still doesn't have any visual defects.

Not a chance that I would even consider it. Even if Apple migrates to the recently rumored 4.3" display, that's such a conservative change its irrelevant.

It's as though Apple has become Fat & Happy.

I've got a 4S and an upgrade right now. After many number-crunching and test-driving T-Mobile on prepaid on both my unlocked 4S and a friend's iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4, I believe we'll be staying with AT&T and using our upgrades for 5S' (as much as it pains me to say). Things could change and I could buy outright, though. I'm still leaning staying with iOS amid all the changes in the mobile game this year...

Without knowing anything about the next iPhone, there is no way I can decide if I'm going to upgrade to the next iPhone.

I am, just don't tell my wife. Maybe she won't notice.

Lets hope that they throw some NFC support there too. I haven't heard much buzz lately. I hope that it's not a dying dream.

Looks like the tech is growing regardless of Apple though.

I'd love the addition of NFC. Although its pretty popular now I think it would completely blow up in popularity if Apple implemented it.

I have had every model up to now but not going to bother with a 5s :( will have IOS 7 on my 5 when released so not really worth upgrading i don't think !

My contracts ended in May so now I'm just waiting to see what the iPhone 5S will feature. Since I already know what it looks like, I want to compare it to the S4 and HTC One upon release. I'll decided to stick with Apple or go Android once the iPhone 5S Event takes place. I'm sure we'll hear about the next Android OS by then too.

It's a big decision since AT&T no longer lets me upgrade every year like they used to (hence why I'm still on the 4S). This next phone has the be THE phone for 24 months (since AT&T no longer let's you upgrade a few months soon than the 24 months). The game has definitely changed.

My contract with Sprint has ended, and I am waiting as patiently as possible for the next iPhone release. Buying it on release day and signing a contract with Verizon. Can't wait.

no

i will qualify for an early upgrade but i am going to skip this generation. I like upgrading my iphone when theres a major physical upgrade not just an internal one. Ex. i had the iphone 4 skipped the 4s got the iphone 5 will be skipping 5s.

I have a 4S and love being on the S-cycle, but this may be one that I pass up. While I'm all about improved camera technology and I want that LTE, I loathe the screen size of the 5. I wish they had kept roughly the same ratio and increased both dimensions rather than only the vertical. Thus, I may sit this one out and wait to see if the 6 is more to my liking.

This is the main reason why I probably won't get a 5S though I have Apple's other products. I've been researching Android lately so I may go that route. I'm not liking the Mickey Mouse feel of iOS 7, but I'll keep my beloved iPad.

I wish the poll had the option:

Yes - providing Apple have improved the quality of the antenna band anodization so it doesn't scuff and look shabby after a matter of weeks.

Have had a 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S and a 5, but I really can't see me changing this year. Kinda regret it each time cos I want the next apple thing and the additional features are minuscule.

Think I've said this each year too (shortly before buying lol)!

Have you used the 5 at all? Seriously, use one for a day and you'll say the same thing about the 4S. I have a 5 for my personal phone and a 4S for my work phone and I VERY MUCH prefer the 5.

That being said, I got the black 5 and will be getting the white 5S when it comes out. I have two lines so I can upgrade every year with upgrade pricing.

The 5S may possibly be the last iPhone with a sane non-phablet size. I have a strange feeling that the iPhone 6 could be the first one to approach phablet size.

I've got a 2 year contract, so I won't be upgrading until the iPhone 6... I doubt it will even be worth upgrading to the 5S since I've got the iPhone 5.

A phablet is a phone with a screen ABOVE 5 inches. I doubt you'll see Apple selling a phone with a screen that's bigger than 5 inches.

I currently have the 4S so yes will be ordering the minute it is on the Apple site :D

I have a brand new Glass Screen Protector and Speck CandyShell case waiting that I hope will fit.

I haven't played with iOS 7 just so I get new hardware and new OS at the same time :)

Perfect

IMO, the 5 is perfect. My wife has one, and I have been stuck with an Android device because of a T-Mobile contract (which will be no more with a nice new 5s!). Android drives me INSANE. Also, for all the whiners about the height-only increase on the 5, you probably still have a 4 or 4s, and haven't often used a 5. If the dimensions were higher AND wider, it would be a royal pain to hold, and you would likely drop it every time you pulled it out to reply to a message because it would be so awkward for your hand. Kind of like putting on a case, it just makes it feel like crap. The dimensions are perfect, they were designed with "FEEL" in mind, and they will continue to be so on the 5s. Couldn't be more anticipating of it. :apple:

I'm on a 2-year contract with an iPhone 5 on Verizon. It has served me very well. I see no point in paying the early termination fees or going full out retail just to get the latest and greatest... especially for minor spec bumps.

I might even forgo the iPhone 6, even though I'll be eligible for an upgrade at the time... it all depends on how the iPhone 5 I currently have stands the test of time.
