I'm really debating between the next iPhone or Galaxy S4.

I currently have a rMbp, iPad mini, and iPhone 4S.

I love how everything works together with iCloud. Especially iMessage, find my friends and find my iPhone. However I like the idea of a not so locked down OS. So the Galaxy S4 may be the next phone I own.

I hope they go straight to the 6. Jobs is dead. Drop the "S" crap. Let's see Ivy take over and give us a new breath.

It's 90% certain that the coming 5S will look similar to 5, based on recently leaked photos. Hence, the only changes we will probably see are hardware upgrades, which are rumoured to be:
1. Faster A7 chip, faster GPU
2. 1.5-2GB RAM to accompany numerous new features in iOS 7
3. X2 resolution (which results in 461 ppi)
4. 13MP camera with dual flash
5. Fingerprint scanning (some people speculate 'S' in this version refers to 'Security')
6. Wifi ac and LTEa
7. The new MacBook Air line has received a huge battery life upgrade, so some people hope the same thing will happen on the iPhone 5S

Let's see how many of us will upgrade to 5S . Count me in as one, currently owning a 5 (without a contract).

I own the 5 and wont upgrade unless it has a larger screen. The added resolution is pointless as you cant see the pixels as it is now and will just drain the battery quicker and put more strain on the processor to push all those pixels. And dont think it will have all the ram like you think, most likely same amount of ram as the i5. Not to mention the 5 will get everything OS wise that the 5s will.

As someone once told me, the "S" usually stands for sucker when it comes to the iPhones since the changes on the "S" line are usually minuscule.

I might be moving to T-Mobile later this year. So I have to replace my iPhone, so yeah most likely I'll get the 5S.

My 4S still works great, so I won't be upgrading this time around. But the longer I'm able to use the phone I have now, the more likely I am to stick with Apple when I buy a new one.

I plan to keep my 5. It's the first phone that I am really satisfied with in terms of quality, interface, and battery life.

The only new potential feature that interests me is the fingerprint reader, but I don't consider that a must-have.

Aw come on. Don't tell me you weren't looking forward to the cloaking device feature?

Haven't decided yet. Pretty good chance I will though. I'll be upgrading from a 4S. I can say though that I will most likely be going for 32 GB option this time around. As somebody else said, apps are taking up more and more space with each update. 16 gb is not enough anymore. Unless of course the 16gb is discontinued and 32 becomes the standard.

I always skip a generation, sometimes two. I got my iPhone 5 two months ago, with AppleCare, i'm riding it out until my next 2 year rebate. I just don't find one generation improvements worthy of the investment.

I'm undecided. I have a Samsung S2 LTE and it works. However what I want from my next device is a really good battery life. My S2 isn't slow and I have a bunch of spare batteries which I carry just in case.

I had a iPhone 3G and went to the S2 LTE back in 2011 and that was a huge upgrade for me in terms of performance. Though I may switch back but I'm not sure if that will be with the iPhone 5s or the iPhone 6. Like I said I want to see some huge improvements with battery life.

My iPhone 3G got slower and slower with every major release of iOS. With my S2 LTE its gotten faster and with Jelly Bean on it and I can run this thing until it dies. So the need for a new phone isn't immediate and especially since I'm not longing for anything in particular right now as nothing interests me.

I am excited to see what the next Nexus, Note 3 and iPhone bring to the table. :)

Sold my backup iPhone 5, then my regular one was stolen, so I had buy a replacement 16GB, so yes I'm getting the iPhone 5S or whatever it will be called. And I will get the high capacity possible, so I can actually use my old backups.

Then you should be going for phablets, like Note 3, and those coming up by HTC, Sony, LG and Nokia. I own a Note 2 and it can last 49 hours on moderate use.

I have a crappy Samsung Android Gingerbread Smartphone. It is slow, all the applications crash, and now texting is a pain in the butt. So I can't wait to switch to iOS when it comes to phones... Been waiting for a year now and should have the funds this fall!

I think so 5s won't have a ram bigger than 5. Because probably it will be make 5s has most longest life iphone
