Tim Cook called. He's got some bad news for you...

2gb of ram has pretty much been confirmed.

This reminds me of the days when people complained about 64mb of ram on the iMac. They eventually got with the program though.

----------

Does anybody know when we'll get a ram confirmation ?

Next week, but considering this leak was correct about the A8x chip, I think it's safe to say it's confirmed already.

Its unnoticeable in games, but in other areas where tabs got to reload and some apps stutter

I am guessing its the RAM, it will just provide a much more area to "breath" I guess. Also , do not understand why Apple would not put it in, RAM is very cheap

Because they sell millions of them, and if they are saving $3.00 per unit, that's 3million+ adding to the profit margins. ;)

They know as much as we do i.e. naught, pure conjecture. Their tech audience are the mainstream who, when asked, will respond that it's got either 16, 64 or 128gb of RAM ffs, and this is reflected in the puddle deep tech articles they deliver. Aside from their guess of 1gb, ALL of that info could be lifted wholesale from Apple.com.

Anyone who, thus far, says definitively one way or the other is talking out of their hat, to put it politely.

I tend to talk with my mouth, but I use another body part to type with. ;)

Wasn't really having a go at you, you understand, more the idea that that link in anyway gives reliable confirmation. It's exactly as reliable as gsmarena who said the 6 Plus was 2gb out of pure guesswork, and silly posters everywhere ran with it.

That $3 is just a number. I don't have a clue how much the RAM would cost, a smaller battery, etc. It was just an example.

My point is still valid. Whatever the RAM costs could easily be removed somewhere else to keep the profit margins the same.

For my usage patterns, I like to multi-task apps and Safari tabs. At the same time, I've never felt the battery was lacking. I would gladly trade battery life for extra RAM.

Others who use one app at a time and don't use many tabs but use their iPad 10 hours a day away from a power outlet may not.
