I, personally love iOS7. Never been so excited about a mobile OS...
I think Android and iOS are for different people and different markets. One is not better than the other. iOS 'was' lagging behind but now, I can't wait to download it!
What do you guys think? I'm thinking stock price rebound in a few days and to me, WWDC 2013 really put Apple back on the forefronts of innovation, like it used to be.
I think this quote says it all about the current situation...
"There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance!" - Steve Ballmer in 2008

I really wanna know what y'all think.

Some people just dont like change. They will get used to it. I in fact love iOS 7! Some of the design will need some getting used to but...I love it so far.

Weak minded people are scared to open their mind to change. I like the re-design. It looks great and I can't wait to get it on my iPhone when it publicly releases.

Complainers will always find something to complain about. They have nothing better to do. It's sad, really.

Well to be honest.. I think it looks really horrible. I am very sorry.. but to me it almost looks as if designed by some Soviet bureau back in the 1930es.. I guess it is all a matter of personal taste etc.. But if the "simplicity" is where everyone is going (first Google, then MS and now Apple), the next few years will be rather sad...

We have progressed so far in terms of ability to project imagery... To have OSs look like as if drawn by a kid (and one without particular artistic gift at that) is very very sad and, indeed, such a waste of resources and capabilities.

It's by far the worst operating system I've seen since the smart phone market emerged in 2007.

As a very pro Apple lover since the Iphone 4 I now can't wait to ditch my Iphone. Like I say not only is it a bad update for IOS but it's by far the worst colour design I have seen on any mobile device. I'm trying to think of something worse but can't? Maybe £5 MP3 players?

Well there certainly wasn't hate at the keynote as it got a standing ovation.

I do think there will be a lot of different between the GM and the first beta. And we haven't even used the OS yet!
Anyways, Ive exceeded MY expectations. Can't wait for the GM...
Will decide if its a failure or not then... :D

I think the people who go to this will support Apple whatever they do..I was expecting some silence but no..I think Apple has got that much respect in the media there's some outlets who won't be honest and slate apple.

I'm still waiting for some tech site reviews like T3 and BBC's journalist view.

It takes time to get used to change. Most of the hate is just on the icons. I thought many were ugly at first but once you actually see them on the phone (not just screenshots) they actually end up looking pretty nice.

Plus also it's Apple so hate is always required.

The functionality is very nice, I like it a lot. I don't care for some of the icons, but that's not terribly important. I would still like the finger swipe text thing that android has, and some more customizability, but all-in-all, it's a very nice update.

It certainly looks fresher. But we still didn't get the customization that we wanted. I'd say that they didn't change enough. It's pretty much the current ios with better looks.

Show us soviet work from the 1903s or you are a BSer.

Stellar post.

If you think iOS 7 is innovative, then you havent used any of the other mobile operating systems the past 2 years...

I've tried very hard to like Android, and have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. But it could never be my cup of tea for a few reasons: It can't play music video in the background, and with the device swiched off. It can't make a playlist combining MP3 and MP4. It can't start/pause/skip/repeat music without turning on the device like a jailbroken iphone could.

iOS7 looks good but I'm disappointed that there is no system wide TouchPal or Swype keyboard like what we have on jailbroken iPhone. It would also be fantastic if Activator functionality is provided.

Overall, I think I would prefer iOS7 much more than iOS6, once it is jailbroken.

I don't hate the OS, but the UI of iOS7 is terrible design in my opinion. Here is flat done right:

Or take a look at the dropbox app or even Apple's own WWDC app for Christ's sake.

Look at the imbalance on the title bar below. "< Messages" almost creeping into the name. Unnecessarily using text for buttons everywhere. In fact, it's no longer clear what exactly is text and what is a button. These are huge design no no's that Apple was wise enough to not make previously. Can you imagine if all of the button boxes around each letter were removed? It's minimal, but not better.

This ringer pop-up is ATROCIOUS. Good lord, what the hell is there to love in this screen cap??:mad:

EDIT:
Here is iOS7 Charging. Seriously how could anyone defend this?

I have. The S3 and the Galaxy Nexus. I grew tired of it. I found that it wasnt perfected/polished enough for me.

I respect your opinion, I just guess polish for me can only make up so much for usability. And iOS has a really antiquated way of making things that should be easy to do far more tedious than they have to be. I dont think this UI refresh is going to be fully polished until at least iOS 8, so while Android and WP8 are tweaking what already are solid foundations Apple may have to be playing catch up again.

Im using iOS 7 right now and its just as smooth and beautiful as ever. Now it has extra function. I never liked laggy android and never will. I would rather use a dumb phone than android.
