Why are most people selling their iPads?

I can see a LOT of current iPad's being passed onto other family members.

As this update it going to be so minor, we think, apart from one having facetime and perhaps a tiny bit smoother/quicker in some areas, they are going to be about the same.

It's not going to be like, OMG this old one is so bad compared to the new model.
 
Just for the record, I'm keeping my 16 gb wifi-only iPad. For me, it is a great device that I take most places. In contrast, my 15" mbp is a better and more powerful device that I take less places. Both are a joy to use.
 
Sold mine. I lost a grand total of $40 for a year of use by selling now.

No intention of buying a ipad 2. Maybe an iPad 3?

I love the iPad for web browsing, but at the same time I hate the browser limitations. I don't like it not supporting flash and also the ****** amount of ram limiting the number of open pages I have. Yup, pretty much what i'd expect from an oversized iPod touch. Now if it had a retina display, I could justify getting one because then I could read all of my books/papers on it and it would really fill a hole in my life. Right now it's just a big ipod touch.

Almost everything I buy is a toy. What's wrong with that? If you can "justify" any purchase besides food and basic clothing, you're lying to yourself. What a dumb word to use.
