They've seemed QUITE groggy for me today.

I concur.

I'm guessing it is related to this https transition. Forums have been dopey for me too the last couple hours or so.

I am also experiencing very slow response time on the forum.

And may I add my voice to those who have said that the forums were - are - extraordinarily slow - hanging, stalling, freezing, groggy - today. Actually, today has been the very worst - as in the slowest I have experienced them - in an age.

I thought it was a Tapatalk issue. It was affecting Tapatalk earlier but it seems fine now. I haven't used the website.

These forums were almost unusable for me until I installed Adguard. For the last couple of weeks, however, I've gotten a lot of 'server not responding' lockups, today especially. But I can't tell if it is the usual IOS wifi weirdness, our secured network at work, or something else.

Much better here now than a few hours ago! I was experiencing slow load times but then once in the forum could at least progress from thread to thread, subforum to subforum..... Now when I'm at another site and click my bookmark to come here it is at last quick and responsive again and I'm here straightaway, no lagging at all.

Still lagging a bit, but not as bad as yesterday, which was shockingly bad; thus, it was with some relief that I realised others had suffered from the same situation.

Actually, since this update yesterday two problems - which had become a lot less frequent, but had been an issue when the system switched to Xenforo - have become more pronounced: The first is lagging, stalling, slowness. In practice, this has meant that I have had to shut down my wifi and re-open it - or exit MR and re-enter most of the time whenever I wished to post.

The second is duplicate posting - this happens because the system stalls, you press send again, and then, belatedly realise that the system had actually despatched your post the first time.

Actually, I have noticed that this issue is especially pronounced when you are replying to a post that already has an image attached.

It was slow for me all day, and then I finally got this:

No need to focus on the other open tabs.

Yesterday was brutally slow, with duplicate posts, freezing, hanging, stalling, and having to leave the site in order to re-enter, or having to switch off the wifi merely in order to open a page - or thread - on the site.

Today, thus far, seems a bit better.

You could always pay a subscription and ditch the ads.

I have a subscription and sometimes, the forums are (still) excruciatingly slow.

Granted, I avoid the ads.

Is there any way to avoid images? Some threads have nothing but images, and - depending on where I am - they can take an age to load, which is very tiresome.

Personally, I'd love an option to disable them.
