:D

I have said several times over that I like my 2016 MacBook AirPro..... :D

And after his recent spat of insults against others, I added him to my ignore list as well.. I don't come here to read insults tossed at others just because they have a different opinion, want or need..

As with most threads where someone has anything negative to say about the new machines, it's quickly and completely derailed by same few over and over and over again... I can't see most of the posts here in this thread because I have that user on ignore but let me guess.. The derailing includes talk of cars and photography along with a steady dose of insults? All of which have nothing to do with the topic and all of which is why most of the threads he posts in get locked and closed down..

Oh well..

You referring to Capt noodle?

Can someone please put this guy in shackles? Honestly, I've been here a long time and NEVER seen a more condescending, over-rationalizing, sanctimonious poster on these forums as this....The irony is I honestly feel bad for them at this point. Seriously, just go back and look at your overall demeanor towards, well....EVERYONE!

Do you need a hug? Someone obviously didn't hug you enough and drowned you in twisted logic instead...I am thinking you need some hugs. Bring it in....I am game.

You are commenting on my post. I don't even read yours nor does your opinion affect how or what I will post in the future.

And if I needed a hug, you wouldn't make the top 1 billion in people I'd ask.

You need a hug? Seems like yo' wittle feelins got hut! Awww...

I guess it didn't bother me all that much. Like many of you, I have owned a lot of Apple laptops and I have about eight of those extension cables in a drawer. I never really use it anyway--guess I am usually always close enough to a wall outlet. As to the C-A adapter... They aren't that expensive. But, I do see everyone's point. They probably should have included them.

Agree.

When people get use to something and it's suddenly taken away, they notice it.. I am like you and don't really care that Apple no longer includes the extension cable but I won't hate on anyone who is upset over it's removal..

I still think Apple should give them to anyone who asks for it, for free! Bring in receipt to show purchase and get handed one...

I also think Apple should have included one USB C to USB A adapter in the box...

Yes they could of been like MS who gave a free surface dial for early purchases for example

When the 2013 rMBP were released, did you think they were for "professionals"? If so, what about ethernet? DVI? VGA? Three or four or more USB ports? CD/DVD drive? I have had to use adapters even on the 2013 system.

Not only that, but USB-C is not an Apple-only port. You can buy a cheap adapter from Amazon for USB-C instead of buying Apple's adapters!

Cost cutting? Obviously. Smaller box and equipment, small shipping and such. The chance to be an evil company and a chance to nickel and dime customers? Doubtful. Not everybody NEEDS SD card. Not EVERYBODY needs the power cable extension. Not EVERYBODY needs USB-A. Let those people deal with it. $6 on Amazon, you can get THREE adapters for USB-C to USB-A. Not $50, just $6! For three! And Apple doesn't get the money from that sale. SHOCKING!!!!

And my 2013 had a severe lack of ports too. It is actually a worse system in that regard. No ethernet. No VGA, no DVI, no big-boy DisplayPort, only two USB ports. Can only charge computer on one port, on only one side. Useless SD card reader.

These ports are universal. There are no more dedicated ports. You can get a hub that will turn one port into dozens of variety ports. I will have the SAME AMOUNT OF adapters as my 2013 system needed. Yes, I NEEDED adapters on even my 2013 system....don't think this is a new issue.

I have moved from previous generation to the newer generation and spent over $100 on adaptors which Apple should of included. And guess what? I HAVE TO SPEND OVER $100 AGAIN... See my point? It's STILL an issue when you STILL/AGAIN have to purchase adaptors.
