Why did you pick Black or White for iPhone 5?

Seriously for all they guys with the white=female mentality:

What you did when the iPod was only available in white?
and with the white earpods and cables? paint them black?
Also you never wear white shirts or watches?
 
I'm male, as straight as they come, and own a white iPhone 4 and a white iPad and I don't give a **** whether it's perceived as being feminine. I like it and I'm me and that's the end of it.
 
i picked the black cus i thought it wouldnt get as dirty as the white but then i noticed the black chips on the side even if u dont drop it
 
I go back and forth. 3GS White. 4 Black. 4S White 5 Black. I will go white for 5S. I do the same with ipads. going for a white ipad this time too.
 
Black, because the screen blends into the phone when you turn it off or when the image is dark.
 
i picked up the black, because i thought it looked better. but then i saw how easily the chamfered edges chipped and how the back attracted fingerprints, so i returned it and got a white one.

I bought 'white' based on my gender. White is masculine and being a man, I felt having an iPhone this colour, my sexuality wouldn't be questioned so much in comparison to having chosen black. Neither really being a colour of course. Its amazing how black and white are neutral in 99% of things, but when it comes to the iPhone it defines a persons sexuality and gender. Its down to you to make the right choice!:eek: :cool:

yeah, white has always screamed female, whilst the black one just looks like it's something that would be owed by somebody with a huge dong and who is unquestionably, completely male. I just don't like looking at my fridge, car and wallpaper because I start to question my gender again. But then I just look at my black iPhone 5 and remember I am all man. Thank you apple!
 
My mum's iPhone is black :)

I have a white one, but as a married father of two I'm obviously not a real man.
 
Is the black coating and better? Buying one today and prefer black but if its going to get all chipped up I'll go white.

Yup. Looks like Champagne color to me, not the darker looking Gold, which would not be my taste. We shall see on Sept 10th :D

just kidding, lol. I have a black 4s and am thinking of going to the white side with the 5s for a change.
 
Interesting, in a google search for white vs black iphone there is a link to a gay discussion forum about the topic. And most the the men there prefer black. Funny considering all the people here afraid of being labeled gay if they use white phones :p
