People that notice the difference in human behavior based on purchased material are generally dealing with their own mental issues, mostly stereotyping.

A material object doesn't actually change human behavior. If I'm an angry Android user and I get an iPhone....I'm an angry iPhone user. The iPhone isn't magical, it doesn't change the internal wiring of my brain.

You just aren't noticing the angry iPhone users out there because of your own bias. They are saying things you want to hear so you over look them. Plus you are generally looking at things that revolve around what you like so you see the people that criticize those things. Go look at things YOU don't like and you'll see people saying the same angry things that you less angrily agree with.

I enjoy Android and iOS a like and I see just as many angry people that are very vocal on both sides.

Nice! Well said, and I couldn't agree more.

They don't. Not where I live. Is this happening in high school?

Well, it's certainly more prevelant online, and it is everywhere. You can say you don't see it, but if that is truly the case, then you really don't get online and this may be the only forum/thread that you have ever read/commented on. I mean, it's everywhere online...everywhere. Just because some people say "I don't see it, what are you talking about?" are just commenting just to comment and not taking the question seriously.

It's the dude version of Nsync vs Backstreet boys. Nsync ftw.

Good one!!! In tears laughing. HA!!!

Because Apple isn't bringing anything new to the table anymore. It's just one, big, walled ecosystem.

Remember, the majority of Android users were most likely at one point, part of the initial iPhone user base, and only shifted once Apple stopped with the innovation while Google and other hardware makers have continued to experiment.

Personally, I've gone from Apple, to Android and the Note series, to the Blackberry Passport, because those were the avenues which offered what I was looking for - bigger screens, stylus options, customization, security, etc.

As a former fan, it's not that I'm mad at iPhone users for liking iPhones, I'm mad at Apple for resting on their laurels, seemingly to worried that they'll screw things up by being innovative, that they don't even bother. I'm mad at iPhone users for accepting this mediocrity, when Apple could, and should, be pushing the smartphone industry further into the future, and not playing catch-up.

Interesting. Thanks

Why do Android users LITERALLY GET SO MAD when iPhone users talk about, and use/like Apple products such as iPhones. I mean, they literally get SO MAD when someone likes a iPhone over a Android device. Oh, and NOTHING makes them more livid as when a iPhone user goes to Android, only to go back to iPhone after a couple weeks, month, or whatever it is. There must be a ailment of sorts for this when someone doesn't like what they like. They LITERALLY GET furious at the thought that someone would like a iPhone over Android. This release of the new iPhone has made it even worse with the haters. They are going to any blog, video, and comment sections just to dog the iPhone. They are spending so much time to read all about something (they think) they hate. It's so interesting to me as to why??? Does anyone have a serious explanation?

Literally mad as in crazy, displaying lunatic behavior, insane or do you mean angry? One can be angry enough to display any of the latter but it looks silly to say "literally so mad." Hope I didn't raise your ire.

Surely in this site you get lot of fanbois bashing Samsung but then IMO no where near that scale!!

Wait, what? Just watch how people here turn on anyone who reports a problem with an iDevice. Apple fans will eat their own young if the dare to say anything negative about their precious Apple tech. God forbid their children have a born on date less than 10 years ago...

I work in a laidback retail setting. I can attest to the iPhone hate. Can't show a customer a YouTube video without "oh Jesus, an iPhone?!?" Like they thought better of me or something. My aunt hates them because I have one, but that's different.

There's some of that, but most of the negativity comes from how the issue is presented. It's hard to justify being tolerant with someone who has admitted to exchanging their iPhone 10 times because of whatever perceived flaw, and then get mad when people suggest exchange #11 might be one too many. Whether the complaint prompting the exchange is valid or not, most people would probably figure out around exchange #5 that maybe happiness with that phone isn't in the cards.

Or, the people who refer to every complaint they have as a "gate."

Or, the people who feel that they should threaten a class action lawsuit at the first sign of a problem.

Or, people who purposefully try to destroy their phones, and then freak out when it actually happens.

The point is, there's a rational way to say "hey, Apple might have a problem here," or "my phone has a defect," that's better than running for the lawyers every time the slightest glitch is discovered. And when someone doesn't go the rational route, they're going to feel some backlash.

Perhaps I'm blind, but I've never had someone get mad at me for liking my iPhone. I did have one person say "oh, Apple sucks" to me one time, but it was more of a "matter of fact" attitude, not angry. I just shrugged and moved on.

It's a phone. More than that; a material object. If you are getting too worked up either way then you need to think about your priorities in life.

I get brand loyalty and the need to justify your purchase however you shouldn't let someone's opinion effect your decision making process. If you are happy, that's all that really matters.
