So throughout your rant you failed to notice that what was in bold was lifted from a respected tech mag placed in bold to differentiate it from my part of the post - standard practice. I could have put it in italics but no doubt that would have elicited a similar response. It would appear the experts are wasting their time though as you obviously know better than they. Perhaps there's a job opportunity for you there?
Nothing that you said had any relevance to what was being discussed. And that's the ability to record in 4K for viewing later on a 4K TV. The only one failing at reading comprehension here is you. The point was never to view 4K content on a 720p phone. That would be ridiculous. We can't even have a discussion because you don't even know what the discussion was to begin with. You just felt like injecting your completely irrelevant comment regarding TV size and 4K. It had absolutely nothing to do with what was being discussed. But I guess no matter what anyone said it would elicit a similar response from you. Maybe I should have put things in bold.

Seriously, there wasn't even an argument going on ... just two people agreeing on why they want to have 4K recording because we and other family members have 4K TVs and would like to share 4K content to them, which is nice to be be able to do with a smaller phone. Then you came in and started an argument for no reason whatsoever. How is that productive?

I'm happy with my battery . Last me all day without a single charge and that's what matters to me.

That being said , read this whole thread and just had a smile on my face . Some of you are too funny. Some of you get so defensive lol :p

Gotta love macrumors , happy to be a part of this community. ( no sarcasm) :)

Interesting. That link says Apple tests web browsing battery time by using saved web pages and looking at those to test battery life. Wouldn't that be cheating because WiFi and mobile data aren't being used?
They use snapshot versions of popular websites so that the web content doesn't change between tests. But these (frozen-in-time) snapshots are still saved on a server on the internet, not on the phone itself and accessed via the stated wireless technology.

iPhone SE
12 hours Internet Use over 3G
13 hours Internet Use over LTE
13 hours Internet Use over Wi-Fi

On its very first day of use, my iPhone SE easily gets double the battery life of my iPhone 5s on a good day.
I'm impressed.

I was drawing attention (and you may read back to double check the accuracy) to the fact that there would be no benefit to viewing 4K on the retina mac book which it was being claimed made viewing a pleasure, due to its comparative small size - simples. Once checked I am happy to accept your apology.

It's better than viewing it on a 1080p screen. You're just finding reasons to argue. Unless you don't own a pair of eyes, the difference is noticeable. I'm not apologizing for your need to argue.

i think, overall - their always updating, making better, improving quality and parts, so would make sense to leave it out if they've discovered a way to improve battery life, plus they need some kind of good selling point to sell the SE, an i the battery life is a good one, some would say its 'key'

Science would argue otherwise but you obviously can't see it, even with those 4K eyes. You appear to forget I was simply drawing your attention to a magazine article, I didn't write it.

Lol ... okay.

I really have to stop reading this thread. It's making me realize more often how frequently I have to charge my 6S. I struggle to get through a whole day without plugging it in. That said, I probably use my phone too much. It would be awesome to not have to charge my phone during the day, though...

Ya, I have lousy battery life on my 6s

But your results show that you don't use your phone much...you only used your phone for 3 1/2 hrs in almost 5 days. I don't think your usage and standby mimic too many on this forum, most here use there phone a lot and don't stretch it out over a 5 day period. lol

Get the Sony Xperia - battery life is so good you can feed juice back to the utility company :D

Ill just leave this here. As you can see I'm a super heavy user and abused the SE on this particular day that included 1000 photo backup to google photos. Getting better usage times than I did with my 6s plus.

You too funny...6s not dead in the water. 6s+ even better

wow so your phone went for 4.8 days. I am sure if we all never used it it would be the same

Shall I post a screenshot of my Android phone going 14.3 days?

Because I can...

I said that to ME that was the case. Each to their own I don't miss my 6S one little bit. In fact I am glad I sold it and got a few more needed things.. including the SE

My biggest is BT cloud at 48% so that is backing up over LTE ( I rarely use wifi as it's such good speed here) And no I have not plugged it in but I will start to as I am on a Mac anyway makes sense. I was Apple Paying the shiznit out of it yesterday.

your usage doesnt look legit. just sayin. 47+ hrs stnandby and at 66%? you clearly charged the phone midway

How so? It would say "IPhone has been plugged in since last charge" if that was the case?

haha

I used to get 2 days with my Z3+ - 3 at a push and about 7 using USM. Cheaper phones do better like my Android.

Anyway my SE is now doing this. So I suspect a problem. I've done nothing but use a taxi app and have location on for 15 minutes max

Yep. Use my phone for calls, little texting, weather, map, and some photos. No music, movies, games, or FaceTime.
