My sarcasm detector is going crazy. I wonder why

Lack of html support?

bb also doesn't really format html email correctly for viewing. I'm having trouble putting exactly what's wrong in to words, but it doesn't format like it should (i.e. like it does on a computer or an iphone).
BB is the MS-DOS of phones. The interface is poor and not well thought out and the keyboards are whacked. Very hard to use if you are productive with an iPhone virtual keyboard.
Oh, go jump in a lake. You fanboys are all the same, whichever side of the fence you're on.
Was pretty sure 4.5 added html support.
Ringer and overall volume is way better on the BB's which is pathetic on my iPhone.
How am I a fanboy? Go test yourself on this, write an SMS then try to reply to an IM then back to your SMS. See how many seconds it takes. Bet you BB can do it in half the time. iPhone doesn't have true multi task support![]()
So basically the BB has a better email push system, and that's it?
That's all I've gotten from this thread. My conclusion:
Young people: iPhone
Old businessmen: BlackBerry
Everyone in-between: iPhone

I'm confused, are you a business user? Was the iPhone a work supplied device? Is the new Blackberry work supplied? If not, what the hell are you smoking? You admit that the the phone is inferior but you are going with it anyway? That makes no sense. You obviously are not in the target market if you feel the need to jailbreak the device and then wonder why performance poor when you have installed winterboard and a bunch of other hacks running in the background. So after a couple weeks of deliberation, yesterday I picked up a used BB Curve 8900, switched over, and retired my iPhone. I was unsure about whether I would be able to adapt after a year on my iPhone, but after just a few hours, I know that I won't be going back. Here's why:
<snipped reasons you used to convince yourself>
Now, there are some things about the iPhone I will miss...
Seamless syncing with my Mac
I had to use a PC to get my contacts over, and I'm not even going to try moving my calendars over
iPod
'nuff said
Uncrippled wifi
When connected to wifi on the iPhone, every data feature was available... I'm on an unlimited email BB plan (no actual data allotment), and a lot of features are unavailable, which is annoying
So there you go... I had my iPhone for a year, and I really did love it, but the BB is just a powerhorse.

I've been reading this thread in amusement....but this one had me scratching my head. Please explain WHY someone would even need lightening fast switching between apps? I mean, the iphone may be slightly slower than a BB, but is that 3-5 seconds more REALLY such an inconvenience? I am a busy business person too, but I cant imagine being so anal about an extra 5 seconds that I would feel the need to complain about it, nor would that be a selling point for a new phone.
Yeah, I don't want and wouldn't need sorting, filtering, signatures, a bunch of email addresses, some keyword nonsense, and a unified inbox. That makes me a fanboy.![]()
I make no assumptions about you, but I've noticed girls tend to like the Blackberry more than the iPhone.Except me. Then again, I'm one of the few girls I've ever met who didn't constantly need to be on the phone with her friends while driving, walking, going to the bathroom, eating, showering, sleeping, etc.
I think so many girls like the Blackberry because they can touch-text while driving and putting everyone in danger.
For the record, I might be getting an iPhone someday, since we're already with AT&T, but for now I use a pink Sony Ericsson w580i and it's a pretty neat little phone. Then again, all I do is make calls and text on it, nothing else.
So basically the BB has a better email push system, and that's it?
The ONLY thing I can consider useful would be the different signatures, however it doesnt take any time to switch back and forth between multiple inboxes (in fact it keeps it much more organized) and the filtering, sorting, etc. I still dont see the need.![]()
So the upgrade from the 3G to the 3GS wouldn't be a good idea in your opinion?
Both the iPhone and the BB are personal phones. I'm not sure which phone you think I "admitted was inferior" - all I said was that although I am happy with my switch to a BB, there are aspects of the iPhone that I miss. This is true of any device (nothing is perfect).I'm confused, are you a business user? Was the iPhone a work supplied device? Is the new Blackberry work supplied? If not, what the hell are you smoking? You admit that the the phone is inferior but you are going with it anyway? That makes no sense. I fear that you have more money than sense if you are willing to spend so much money and then just throw it away so quickly and by a new shiny but crappy plastic device.
It's the nature of the ADD/MTV/instant gratification generation. Objectively, 3 seconds is nothing, but the feeling of sitting there waiting for my phone to catch up to me is beyond annoying when you've got multiple real-time conversations going on at once.I've been reading this thread in amusement....but this one had me scratching my head.
