Firefox failed at being relevant. They are continuing to lose market share, they will be below 2% in a few months.
But it's a very much a working browser, in which I've had very few issues. Popularity doesn't determine what is a good browser. Were all the other browsers bad back when IE had 90% market share? Nope, and IE was both hated and ridiculed, because despite good parts it was very crappy and non-standard.

So to h*** with market share. Being relevant is about being good at what you do, and if people don't take notice of good browsers, that's on them.

That I have never used or seen before. Only use Mosaic, Netscape, iCab, IE5 for Mac, Firefox, and now Edge.

I use Firefox exclusively on my MBP (because Safari sucks, and Chrome is spyware garbage)
Pretty much the same reasons I have Firefox as my default browser. I do use use Safari on my MBP to access my company's Gmail account to keep Google's fingers away from my default browser.

One other reason for Firefox and Safari is broader platform support - I was able to migrate Thunderbird on Solaris to Thunderbird on Mac with no problem.

Firefox has been my default browser on both Windows and Mac for years at this point. The only reason I have Chrome installed is for development purposes, and I run a specific dev profile on that browser. Firefox has been completely stable for me on all of my machines, and I prefer to download and install apps myself over installing everything from the Mac App Store.

What I find odd about this thread it that it is built upon a false premise - the notion that Apple is biased against Firefox. The "evidence" being provided in this thread are actually actions and decisions that fall under Mozilla's responsibility and are out of Apple's control.
