MS is two years behind, which explains why WP7 only sold less than 700k WP7 phones so far. In comparison Apple sells that many phones in 3 days and Android in only two days.

And both Apple and Android have been using that time well. Give WP7 that long before we start comparing sales :p

That 700K number was a Russian blogger's estimate from Q4 2010 which was its launch quarter which started midway through.

11-10-10 until 12-31-10

That comes out to be about 13,000 units/day which seems pretty good to me for a new product.

Apple has taken care to make a solid product first before adding every function under the sun. If apple had put all the things that everyone wanted the Iphone would just be another phone with all kinds of bugs.

Most that claim to not like the iPhone usually are tied to a Verizon or Tmobile contract. A lot of people pretend to hate what they can't have, or at least it makes them feel better to think it.

Some people just rightfully don't like it. My feelings is that Apple must be doing something right with the IPhone and the IPad because they have gone from an almost dying bankrupt company to being the most successful tech company in the world.

Also it's just like VHS and Beta, Microsoft and Apple, Democrat and Republican. To justify your opinions about something you have to have an enemy.

Hasn't some bro from the hood instigated a double negative reversal yet for the word "hate"...

"Oh I hate that phone so much" ....meaning I love that phone so much?

So you guys don't think the iPhone can be legitimately disliked? XD

I used to dislike iPhone's when I had a BlackBerry.
Now I have an iPhone and heaps more of Apple crap and when looking back I was clearly jealous of people with iphones for I was stuck on my contract with my BB.

So yeah, something about grass and it always being greener some where else

I do think it's a bit much when people make it a point to insult anyone that uses an iPhone or whatever, otoh I think the peer pressure to talk people into spending a looot of money monthly for a smartphone because of the iphone is silly xD

I'm happy with my iPhone and I don't really feel the need to check for other options.

I think it boils down to differences in style... and this debate has been going on since the days of the debates about the Mac versus PC (how many of us have been told Mac's were 'toys' or not real computers?).

Besides, once people invest time and money on a computer, phone or operating system, they want to be reassured that they have made the right choice. Judging form the many posts about Android, RIM and WP7 in this forum versus the lack of posting about iOS in the non-iOS forums, I'd say most of us here are more convinced we made the right choice than those who have not chosen iOS. And that makes them throw their toys out of their pram....

I guess you can call me an android fanboy. And i do not hate the iPhone why should I?
The iPhone has never stole money from me. It has never cheated on me. It has never said something incredibly bigoted to me. Its a phone what can you hate about it. If you don't like it and you have it then you are a moron.

I do like apple a company. I just love google and I hope to one day get a job with one of the three great tech companies.

Although the iPhone itself has not said anything bad about you owning an android Apple has, steve jobs quote about tracking phone users, "Some of them don't do what we do. That's for sure"

I've come across numerous people that comment on my iPhone and say they would never buy one simply because "they don't like it" and further elaborate on their reasoning by stating "it's made by Apple". Then the yammering of Apple products are too expensive, Steve Jobs isn't god, people who like Apple are sheep, etc, etc, etc.

I don't get it either. These people need to get laid, take up pottery, something. It's a FRIGGIN phone. In the end though, me not care.

I have been told that my macbook wasn't a "real computer" Up to the point where my 4 year old macbook out performed his brand spanking new HP at everything from web browsing to CS5 command functions.

I agree with the reassurance of oneself when making a large purchase, while a phone itself is not that large of a purchase it holds a high value because we are tied to it for 2 years.
