Why is it 500 posts for avatars?

I was thinking about this and from point of view that might not be such a good thing. I mean should someone really take pride if have a zillion posts on a website were people discuss and drool over rumors of upcoming computers. There is something very nerdy (and almost unhealthy) about it. Oh well who needs a social life. 😉

If you take notice to some of the threads, you'll notice that the title of this forum could be questioned.
I like to think of MR as a big family that happens to be in love with everything Apple. And it makes for good fun.

Until this thread I had no idea how many posts I'd made... as I've never been motivated by an avatar (as some of you may have read in some of the other threads in here that I have posted in).

Seems AoWolf we are quite similar...
I joined 12-21-2003, and have a similar number of posts behind me.
