I have both the Thanotech as well as the CrashGuard for my 6s Plus and I must say the CrashGuard is the best bumper in terms of durability and protection.

It has a great lip, both front and back, although it's not one of those you want to take off too often as its really tight once on.

I also got the black CrashGuard for my 7 Plus Matte Black. I think it matches well together.
I preordered the black Crashguard to go with the black phone also. On your 6s Plus, does it make the phone feel wide?

Yes it does. It's a couple mm wide on the sides, top, bottom. However, as I mentioned, this is for cushioning in case the phone falls. The sides will absorb most of the impact.

Ah ok thanks. I'll see how much I like it once it comes in... the width might be off-putting.

I got a Thanotech from their Kickstarter campaign for my wife's 6s+ and I hate to say that I'm not impressed.

Build quality was just so-so. VERY hard to access the mute switch. The aluminum trim scratched way too easily IMHO, and it was too easy to kink when taking it off the iPhone. We won't be buying another.

Again, IMHO, YMMV, etc.

Would you mind sharing more about your experience? I found the kickstarter page and the comments there say the Thanotech K11 Bumper affected the signal (wifi/data) which drained the battery faster, buttons were hard to press, and some experienced discoloring issues.

The K11 looks gorgeous, but it seems to have many issues based on the kickstarter comments.

I just ordered the Caze matte black. I'll post a review when it arrives.
Cool! Let us know once you get it. I am also interested in this one. Don't forget pictures :D
I have at the moment both K11 and Crashguard. Used the K11 for the last 6 months and like it a lot. The Crashguard is also amazing...

Just FYI - you can use the code COURAGE for 15% off on the evolutivelabs.com website for your iPhone 7/7+ pre-orders.
Thanks! How'd you get this?

Thanks! Just ordered one...now just have to figure out what to do until October.

Did you guys get the promo code to work? I'm getting a "Do not honour" error message at the end of checkout.

Card was getting declined for suspicious activity since the vendor charges from China.

I got suckered by the pictures and KS ad copy...it's simply a poorly designed, cheaply made bumper. The aluminum around the edge is as soft as butter and scratches easily, it looked like hell within a few weeks; the TPU materiel started showing dirt from day one; you can't remove it without kinking the soft aluminum.

Stay far, far away. There are better choices IMHO.

Disappointing to hear. It was hyped so much and showed so much promise.

Spigen and CrashGuard are still good choices though.

I just ordered the Caze matte black. I'll post a review when it arrives.

Ordered one too. It was between the Caze bumper and the CrashGuard but the latter looked way too bulky, like having a rubber tire wrapping around the iPhone. Purpose of a bumper is protection and slim profile.

I hope the quality of the Caze is on point. Couldn't find too many reviews on it though. Looks wise, it's one sexy, slim bumper. Gonna go great with my matte black IP7.

Fingers crossed!

For me, much of the protection of a case/bumper comes from its "lip." Looking at the Caze, the slim form factor does look nice, but I worry that the protection would be compromised.

Would like to hear your thoughts when you get it since, as you said, there aren't a lot of folks talking about these bumpers.

Completely agree. That was my main concern as Well.....lip protection. Couldn't really tell from the pictures they posted but in the description they do mention that it has a raised front and back lip to protect from a fall.

We shall see when it arrives. If not as advertised then it's going back and will look for another bumper. I'm all cased-out. Going strictly bumpers with my 7.

What happened to bumpers without plastic back covers from the iphone 5 and prior days? I literally can't find a single one on ebay or amazon.

I have a 7+ JB coming in ~1 week and miss the days of simple bumpers that offer minimalist lip protection on the front and back. I never really understood the need for a back cover when there's a lip.

I used a Spigen with a clear back on my 6 and trapped dust scratched up the back. After seeing ugly pics in another thread of Spigen back covers sticking to JB phones, I really don't want to go that route again.

If they don't exist, it appears that I'll be going the chinese knockoff 0.3-4mm versions of peel/shushumi/airkskin on ebay, provided I can find a truly CLEAR one with a small lip on the front.

My toddler is always grabbing my phone, so I need some drop protection and can't go the wrap route.

The bigger the phones got, the less backless bumpers around. Except the cheap aluminum ones.

Hey guys, I just picked up a black Iphone 7 plus, and I am looking for a nice bumper case to throw on it to keep it safe.

In a perfect world, I would like to buy the minimalistic bumper Apple used to make, however I can't find one available for the 7 plus. Please let me know if you guys have found one that just has the outer rim bumper so it will protect the edges from any falls, and also makes it so that it has the outer edge to protect the screen from any flat falls. If there isn't one available, please recommend a best option! I'd prefer not to cover up the back from being shown as I think it is very beautiful.

subscribed. haven't received my phone yet, but i'm in the same boat. i'm almost tempted to buy those bumpers that only attach to the corners, but i don't know if i would like it in person.

I wasn't feeling that one.. hopefully someone can point us in the right direction!

Rhinoshield CrashGuard Bumper is the best bumper, in my opinion. I currently have one for my 6s plus. You can pre-order now on their website. I just pre-ordered one for my 7 plus.
