I haven't started any threads complaining about Apple hardware. This one got a little heated because I don't know when to walk away and encountered a number of people that appeared to have your same attitude.

Thank you for being very straight forward about your mind set. I take it you're no nonsense.

We'll have to agree to disagree though.

Yeah pretty no nonsense, I can certainly agree to disagree, thats often the best way and happens here often, which is nice rather than it descending into name calling and silliness that many forums seem to. I wish I was better at walking away too!!

On a side note I do try not to assign gender in these forums you just never know.

I am sorry that you have such a bad internet experience as to feel you must avoid making your gender obvious, that is wrong in all ways. I'll argue the toss over any little tech thing (as you may have noticed) but I do try and be a pedantic douche to everyone equally.

Telling someone they cannot post is not permitted and is different then offering an opposing opinion.

When I do so you'll have a point.

Ha, that rather makes the point, that thing's the size a 15" MBP with the weight of a 17". Quad core processors aren't in 13" laptops remotely comparable to the MBP 13".
No, my point was that he mentioned that NO quad core 13" laptops existed, and I showed that there were. Whether you want to say its comparable or not, is immaterial. People will choose what works best for them, and their budget. I was just communicating that if quad core is important to you as a consumer, then you have options.

I understand, but it's entirely material. The poster wants a 13" quad-core MBP. That isn't practical, and the Alienware shows why. You can't run a quad core in a body much smaller than a 15", so you may as well get a 15" if you want a quad core.

I wasn't addressing the OP, but another member who stated there are no 13" laptops with quad cores and I provided information that there are. I think you're reading too much into that.

Ahem, now you are just playing rhetorics. Yes, technically, that laptop has a 13" screen, but its actual dimensions (33x26.9cm) rival that of the 15" MBP (34.9x24.07cm). In fact, the MBP, despite its larger screen, has smaller chassis area. And lets not even talk about thickness or volume here. Furthermore, Alienware 13" could have easily fitted a 15" screen, its certainly large enough for that. If someone is saying that the 15" MBP is too large, and they'd like to have a quad core 13" laptop, showing them the oversized Alienware is a bit weird.

Huh? What did I read into it? Again, I simply pointed out that what you posted makes the point that it's impractical to have a 13" quad-core MPB. Maybe you're reading too much into that.

Technically it is small for the class of machine it is. You should see the larger variants.

I can respect your attitude. It's agreed then. :D

As to the gender, pay it no more mind. It all started in a world far far away called Warcraft and the utter nonsense of Guild politics.

No ports like the old Pro model and MORE expensive just for a enlarged 12in Macbook with no improvements from last year's 13in model in speed.

I am very disappointed in Apple.
Why release something that is a huge downgrade at a higher price when it should be for PRO use ?
13in Pro is NOT Pro in anyway.
It's just a consumer/disposable Macbook.
Apple has gotten extremely greedy as of late.
They don't even care about their Apple Store Employees and even the costumers.
I love the iPhone and Mac. But Apple has to change and Tim needs to go.
I am extremely frustrated.

First of all, "Pro" is just a marketing term, just like "Retina" display.

Apple has stopped being "pro" a long time ago for a lot of users ... but for 95% of Apple consumers it's more than enough. And it didn't even compare to the MB. I have the nTB MBP 512/16 and it runs circles around the 12" ... Not even a comparison, and handles all my "pro" needs. The only thing I wish it had were a TB3 docking station that was available on release. That'll come in the near future though, and for now I have no problem connecting my 4k monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. Maybe I'm in the minority, or maybe it's cause I've been using USB-C for almost two years now and prefer it, but it's by far the best laptop available for me.

"Pro" is a subjective term, much like "power user".

Enterprise customers, students, Mac Pro Users, photographers, video editors, supercomputer users, coders, software developers, etc. would likely define the term very differently.

With that said, the 2016 (even the nTB with fewer ports) is plenty capable of meeting the needs of many professional users.
Yup ... I own and operate an online marketing company, and though I mostly do just the sales/marketing, it's more than capable for all my business users. A lot of guys ditched FCP in favor of Adobe, but they all use Mac.

Its an open forum and as such he's free to post his opinions, others have stated similar sentiments and so I think other's do care and he does have right to express his opinions.

Another 45W Quad Core i7-4770HQ, this time in the 12" form factor (11.85”(W) x 0.54”(H) x 8.39”(D) 2.67lbs) VAIO Z Canvas , if available in my local I would most definitely be owning one.

Absolutely agree people should be allowed to voice there opinions, not be shutdown by a minority who are solely hung up on Apple. This is a diverse community with many owning and using multiple brands, therefore a level of criticism & comparison is to be expected.

MR's strength is it's open nature, those seeking to only see positive threads & posts towards Apple are better served by Apple's official forums where any negative content is deprecated, which sadly speaks volumes...

I wholeheartedly agree, opinions of varying types are what make forums like these great. From a general standpoint, it's just disheartening to see many people have opinions limited to simply being "Apple/MacBook/iPhone/iDevice sucks, it's horrible, you're wrong, enough said." without engaging in any actual dialogue and discourse.
