So from your own source that you were highly pushing. Displaynate just rated the iPhone 7 display the best of any smart phone. Like I said before facts are great and you were wrong. You have to look into the detail of the display and not what you tubers say.

Wasn't it the best LCD ever. Not the best on a smartphone. Anyhow I do prefer the screen on my 7 plus to the one on the S7 edge. I've not seen the one on the note 7 for any length of time to pass judgement on it but it is supposed to be better than the one on the S7 edge.

They rated it the best LCD. It's only slightly more accurate at displaying colors over Note 7's display. It still loses in every other category. I own both the Note 7 and iPhone 7 so I know what I'm talking about. You own the S7 which is inferior to the Note 7.

Both are excellent point and shoot cameras if used correctly. The S7 has a bigger sensor and the overall consensus is it is a better camera than iPhone 7 but not significantly. What the iPhone 7 plus though has over the S7 series is the dual camera and portrait depth of field which they do not offer. As ever, it comes down to personal preference with the way you like your photo's and how you use the hardware.

Unfortunately the dual camera doesn't work at all when you're not in good lighting. They failed to mention that in the launch event. The other lens just can't capture very much light.

In regards to performance, the Note 7 runs at 2560x1440p vs 1080p. It also has a bunch more processes running since it has more features and does multi-tasking. You need to keep things in perspective.

Ive always been impressed with my S7 camera, but the iPhone 7 plus camera is pretty damn good. Heres a couple impromptu night shots of the front of my house and of my messy kitchen.

Another comparison, for me wins the iPhone 7
I don't see a looser in either phone. I would say, it boils down to preferences with iPhone winning in some instances and S7 winning in other instances. What is clear to me is that you can't really go wrong with either phone based on picture quality. The picture quality is so much better on both phones from just a few years ago that for every day use, a separate camera is no longer necessary. Which for such small cameras and lenses is truely remarkable.

The iphone 7 camera is good. Much better than the 6s when it comes to taking low light photos. And it will be more than enough for many people. It can easily replace your old point and shoot. It, however, isn't all that it could be. After having a chance to test it and compare the result to my old lumia 950 and my friends S7, I was also quite disappointed. The otherwise crappy lumia that is over a year old still beat apple when it comes down to pictures quality. So if you're just after good quality photos buy an old lumia for 150 bucks (yeah, they are dirt cheap used these days). But when it comes down to usability, reliability, apps, and performance the 7 wins.

So you rather trust a plain old user that posts a YouTube video out there than a huge company that reviews products like CNET??? Lol. The guy said he saw no reviews that favored the iPhone. So I posted a few. So I your thinking you seem to think if it isn't an android phone on top, you have to make comments like above. Who's the fanboy again?
Funny that you say this but you don't own one. Like I said opinion not fact. There are other reviews out there that said on paper the Samsung should be better per spec, but in testing it's not. Google it.

Now even DXOMark has the S7 edge and Note 7 rated higher.

I have both an S7 Edge and an iPhone 7 Plus and I have to say, you guys are pretty much arguing over nothing (the most minuscule differences in camera performance). They both have great cameras and sometimes the S7 will take a better photo and other times the iPhone will take a better photo. The S7 has the advantage of having faster focus and the iPhone has the advantage of having a second sensor with a telephoto lens. When it comes to video, I find the iPhone to be far better than my S7, but in the end, these cameras are both so good that I wouldn't base my buying decision solely on which you think has a better camera. They are so close in camera performance! It's best to base your buying decision on other, more important and more noticeable factors, like whether you prefer Android or iOS. Sheesh.

Now that I've used my 7 plus camera more I would have to agree. There really isn't any difference between the two. In fact the 7 plus edges it for me because of the 2X zoom, portrait mode and more natural colours. They are both great cameras.

I wonder what score the 7 plus will get..

[doublepost=1475132994][/doublepost]C'mon, just look at this thread. Pictures are ****ing gorgeous!!!

They are definitely awesome. I had one and returned it due to the poor quality of the buzzing and popping noises. I got a Note 7 now which takes awesome pictures as well, actually its rated better than the ip7. But both do a great job!

Same camera sensor and lens on the wide angle so no difference. The "telephoto" lens has a slower aperture so will have a worse score.

Where the iPhone wins (at least the last time I had android) is a better ecosystem for photography related apps. The quality seemed a bit better and more options. That may be different now. Really, for most practical purposes, there is little difference between the sammy and apple. For serious photography, I pull out my real cameras :).

Now that I have used my 7 plus for a few days and having the S7 edge this year the 7 plus edges it to me. The zoom and portrait is what makes it stand out.

source? I've read they are essentially the same. Regardless of differences, it could not make up for the aperture being significantly smaller in the telephoto lens compared to the wide angle lens.

I agree. When I first got it I wasn't taken with the camera but after using it extensively I'd say the 7 plus is the better all right bad camera.
