White bezels are for girls.
This sort of occurred to me at the Apple Store today when I was returning some stuff today..
I sauntered over to the 5k 27" iMac's and it for some reason occurred to me that the huge beautiful P3 display has a black bezel.
Do we think that's the best/intended way to have the framing of a display?
I've been really torn on the iPads (and phones actually) about the white fronts. I love the colors for the sides and back, but it really feels "off" with the white fronts. You see the digitizer borders and the content feels a bit recessed into the device vs the white bezel, etc..
When the bezels are black, like on that iMac, it's simply amazing how the device literally disappears (even the iMac) and you have just the interface perfectly framed and almost "floating".
Does anyone else feel this way?
Is this why Space Gray is so popular? (only one w/ black bezels)
Also - I was just recollecting that didn't all the iPhone 5c's also have black bezels like the iPod Touches? Those new iPod touches are so cool looking I might add. I don't understand why the other iOS devices can't have much richer color options. They look sensational!
I think it should be at least optionally a black bezel on any color device.
I have a white Iphone6 and like the white bezel. I was all set to upgrade my black ipad4 to a white pro last week, however, I was reading in bed at night with the lights off and realized that the black frame disappears in the dark, whereas a white one would stick out like a sore thumb. It's not something I had ever really payed attention to in all the years I've been using an iPad. The following day, I went ahead and ordered the black pro. It seems trivial, but had I got the white one, I think I would have been kicking myself the first time I was reading in the dark.
Er... no they aren't?White bezels are for girls.
This is as ignorant as saying black is for boys. Plenty of girls like black and plenty of guys like white.White bezels are for girls.
Apple is retarded....Space grey should be the one with white bezel, every other color should have black bezel...It really makes no sense to me

They already screwed up space grey when they stopped calling it slateunless they totally screw up the space grey.
You get black so you can enjoy staring at your iPad with the screen off? Coincidentally, I go with white because when the display is on, iOS 7+ and Android 5+ both match white bezels better, IMO.Yes, i hate white bezels. The display, when inactive, is BLACK. This is the exactly the reason that i go space grey, black, etc.
I agree with this. However, I don't find white bezels distracting at all when watching videos, though I still admit black would be better for this. But for web surfing and reading, white does seem better.Depends on what you're doing on it.
If you're doing a lot of watching videos, looking at/editing photos then black is better.
If you're doing a lot of web surfing/reading then I think white is better.
Don't be so stupid.
I have all three size iPads and an iPhone and prefer white bezels, always
have done since the first iPad was launched.
