Nah not really a money thing. I figured I don't NEED the 15" high end Pro but I would like the 15" high end Pro so that's what I think I'll get.

I don't do any hardcore stuff. Just stuff in my web browser lol, but I do like the feel of the powerful computer with no lag. Also the lit keyboard is good because I use dark rooms at 5 in the morning a lot on the computer. My iMac screen lights it's keyboard but it would be cool if the iMac had lit keyboard :D:D:D

wow...you want a macbook pro just to surf the internet with? thats sad. but hey, waste money all you want.

I keep my computers for 4 or 5 years. 3 years minimal. There's no point getting a new Mac unless you need one =) My current iMac is just over 3 years old :D I'm gunna get Snow Leopard in it to speed it up!

SL is not going to "speed up" your mac and future proof it. You can keep a mac 3 years, I have/do but it will be many revisions older than the current. Technology advances ... **** happens.
Speaking of proofing, if your link in your sig is your own site then you may want to see if your "pro" machine has something to help you out with grammar. ;)

Snow Leopard sped up my Mac... why wouldn't it speed up your Mac? You can never future-proof technology, but Snow Leopard did make my computer better.

I couldn't be happier with Snow Leopard right now.

Seriously guys see i told you he was 13. What does a 13 year old need a laptop for? Even if he was gaming why does he a need a MBP just get an iMac. He doesn't need portable gaming anyways. The only places he goes to is school. Last time i heard you're not allowed to play computer games during class. Not sure about school these day.. hmm.

Ye, what im getting at is this. When you buy your computers yourself you will most likely find yourself switch more often ;)

Its fun to bring your computer over to a friends house and stuff, and seriously, who cares what you are "allowed to do" in school when your 13. When your 13 they don't teach you anything new in school. You start getting stuff your didn't already knew around 2 years before college or sum.

I would buy the 15" as anything less isn't really 'pro'.

Don't say this to the pros who made a living carrying around the 12" Powerbooks!!!

Oh and yes the 12" Powerbooks were lesser enabled than were the larger Powerbook models because the 12" Powerbooks DID NOT HAVE the CF Card Reader that the rest of the PB line had!!!

I love how people *think* that size matters in determining if a notebook is " pro " or not.

Having said that I own a 15" Macbook Pro, a 12" Powerbook, and a 17" Powerbook.

I got the 15" MBP because I am an old man and my eyes ain't what they used to be!!!!!
